My girlfriend and I just finished a 2 night stay at Tavern On The Bay and I wish we could’ve spent an entire week! What an amazing place with so much character and history. By far the chillest place we’ve stayed at. We stayed on the top floor with a balcony of an INCREDIBLE view of the bay. Beds were super comfortable and the rooms are kept very clean. Josh (host) is the coolest dude. He made our stay so comfortable and relaxing. This place goes out of their way to make sure you are enjoying yourself. I was even treated to some whiskey by Josh on our final night on the balcony. Restaurant and bar down stairs are on point, service is great! Also, PET FRIENDLY! Can’t rave enough about the place, book here for your trips to the Jersey shore. We will return very soon!

Good food and nice views of the bay
Josh was an awesome host. He was personable, funny, and so accommodating. We asked if there was any shampoo and he went out of his way to go out and buy some for us. He makes himself available if you need anything. The dining staff was also wonderful.
The room itself, I thought, was very homey and cute. It felt like an air bnb. It wasn’t a 5 star room for the price, but the location and views blew everything out of the water. You can clearly hear the people in the rooms next to you, but those people were very friendly. It was a great experience if you are willing to connect with the people in the building. Would absolutely stay again!
So, reading some of the not so great reviews on this site, I must say, our experience was nothing but enjoyable. Great food, outdoor dining experience with live entertainment. Great service by Anthony, He was very accomodating. The view was great, and we were seated and served very quickly! We will definitely return in the future!
