If you are looking for home cookin’ like Grandma used to make, Homefolks is the best! Located in Soddy Daisy, it’s well worth the drive from North Georgia or anywhere in the Chattanooga area. The buffet is overflowing with fried chicken, dressing, fish, roast beef, and so many delicious vegetables. I’ve been eating at Homefolks for several years and it’s my favorite restaurant. Don’t forget the wonderful desserts. There are always several to choose from and included in the price of the buffet.

This was our first time and I was a little confused on how you order, so here's the scoop. This is a all you can eat restaurant. They have a menu and you order anything you want!! It's not a choice of meat and sides brought to the table, each person gets what they want. It's a buffet, but you don't fix your plate. Everything is counting cooking. My favorite was dressing with chicken gravy, the Mexican cornbread, mashed potatoes (with chicken gravy), pinto beans and my wife loved the goulash. Oh and let's not forget dessert!! pineapple pudding :)

Food was delicious!!!! I LOVE the idea of a buffet but they bring the food to you. Our first time there and I'm so glad we did. Our waitress was amazing and explained how everything worked once I told her it was our first time and she was on it with refills and our food. Definitely will be back.
A different type of restaurant. One price, for almost everything on the menu. Like a buffet except they serve family style at the table. The food was delicious.
So many ways this restaurant gets it right! Food, service, and hospitality. Dealing with hungry people is no easy task but this restaurant and their staff bring their best in food and service. The pandemic forced them to change things up and you'd never know this wasn't their original format. Love the family-style concept. It makes for a better experience like you're at a family table, passing sides, sharing dishes, and the recipes are indeed home style as well. We had a party of 50 and they made the experience special for all of us. Thanks Home Folks!
A good friend of mine introduced this place to me about three months ago. I went back there last Sunday afternoon. If you want a meal that seems like good home cooking, then you will absolutely love eating here! It's located in Soddy Daisy TN. I've only eaten there twice so far but I'm planning on going back again soon. This is a buffet style restaurant. They hand you a menu and you show them everything you want to eat and then they will go into the kitchen and bring it back to you at your table. This is the safest buffet place that I know of to eat at where all the food stays in the kitchen until they bring it to your table.
Really good home cooking. For a fixed price, you can choose as many items as you like (meats, salads, vegetables, desserts) and.they keep asking you if you want more. Good selection of meats and vegetables. You can check their daily menu on their website as it varies slightly each day. Not sure where they get their chicken, but it reminded me of what I got as a child (small breast, very tender and super delicious). I also enjoyed the crunchy fish filets and fried chicken livers. My wife thought the chicken and dumplings were a little too salty and needed more chicken. All the vegetables were good. The banana pudding was excellent and was the closest to my mom's made-from-scratch recipe that I've found at a restaurant. We will definitely go back.
Great food. Cooked like mom used to do. Best pinto beans I have eaten since I was home many years ago. Not the cheapest prices but great service and if you are over 65 there is a senior discount.
