Excellent place for all the yummy seafood you’re craving! Service was prompt and friendly, food was delicious, and portions were great for the cost. Breading is light and allows the seafood to shine. Honorable mention to the coleslaw: It’s actually good here! At many similar restaurants it’s typically inedible. If you’re visiting Topsail, this may be a bit of a trek and off the beaten path, but it is worth the trip.

Great location with fresh local seafood caught right out back of the restaurant. Large portions and good vibes. Service was quick. Could be a little wait as this place gets busy. It's definitely worth the short wait. My fried flounder was cooked perfectly. The wife had the bacon cheese burger platter. Both were very good. This place is known for its pie selection. Save room for dessert. Pies are excellent.

Spending the weekend in North Topsail with family and found this gem. Excellent seafood options for anyone who loves fresh food from the ocean. I opted for the three item combo and had fried flounder, shrimp and scallops. Plate came with fries and hush puppies. Substituted applesauce for coleslaw. My wife ordered the grilled flounder and baked potato with a side salad. My daughter ordered the grilled shrimp and my other son ordered the fried flounder and catfish. Amazing flavor and capped off with home made lemon merengue pie. If you happen to be near the outer banks and love seafood, treat yourself to a meal at the Riverview Cafe, you will be glad you did.

This place has been around for about 8 decades for a reason. Their food is simple: simply cooked, simply fresh, and simply delicious. You know what you’re getting when you walk through the door. Whether you’re a local who’s been eating here for their whole life or a visitor for the first time, you’ll love this slice of heaven on the river. The food is super fresh and comes out hot and fast. All the waitstaff and cooks know their customers and their needs. You can’t beat this place if you’re in the Ferry.

Everytime I'm in the area, I make it a point to visit the Riverview Cafe. It's a family establishment that has been around for a long time. I found this little restaurant in 2017 and the quality of food atmosphere, and friendly staff hasn't changed. My go to favorite is the cod but you can't go wrong with anything on their menu. Their hush puppies are amazing and they have fantastic homemade tarter sauce. Give them a try the next time you're nearby and you won't be disappointed.

Real Seafood the way it is supposed to be!! If you want Real, Local Seafood, this is the place to come. If you have never eat here, you may not know how delicious seafood is supposed to taste. You deserve to splurge at least once to come here to eat some of the best seafood around. You won't find any small or popcorn shrimp imported from overseas at this restaurant. You won't find fake scallops made from sharp here either, The shrimp are local and large, the scallops are local real scallops that come from a shell. All the seafood is delicious and cooked to perfection! Great service. The prices are a little higher but seafood is just like anything else you spend money on, you get what you pay for!. The restaurant has been around since 1948, give or take. Great views of the water also.

Very good seafood restaurant. Been there a long time. Mostly fried but some broiled. Be sure to check the board for the specials. I had oysters and shrimp and the wife had flounder, oysters and shrimp. Collard greens as a side. Famous for their pie.

Four of us each had a different dish. Flounder, oysters, shrimp, and clams. All were delicious. I had the whole fried clams. They were so good, as was the clam chowder. The chowder was not the usual New England or Manhattan style that you get in most restaurants. It was just clams, potatoes, bacon, and clam broth. Delicious!!! Linda, our waitress was delightful and efficient. We had a great experience for lunch!!!
