It was very good and it supports a great cause. The staff were awesome and very attentive. I had the eggs Benny and I was stuffed! My husband had the lemon Ricotta pancakes and he couldn’t finish them- those are definitely for sharing. Only downside is you pay with cash or check. So make sure you keep that in mind. A very good breakfast place for sure!!

Had a wonderful first time at Comfort Cafe. Delicious, homemade food - hefty portions. You pay what you can and money goes towards supporting those recovering from addictions. Wonderful wonderful people working here. Had the pleasure of meeting and speaking to the owner's daughter Ashley.

this place is an absolute gem! small town texas but big hearts and big plates of delicious food! everyone was so friendly, we felt welcome from the moment we walked in! anytime i am in town visiting family the comfort cafe will be a must stop from now on!

Had the crab cakes with poached eggs … wife had caramel pancakes. Both meals were delivered hot and super yummy … left a little extra to help this worthy organization.

Great service, yummy food, always something new on the menu. Wish I had more pics, the granola parfait came in a huge martini glass and the pancake and coffee flights looked amazing!!!

Been here a couple of months ago.
Great staff, very friendly. We didn't know that this place supported such a great cause when we got there.
You pay what you want to and I'm sure you'll feel this place deserves so much more.
Everyone in our family ordered something different and we loved everything we ordered.
This place can't do anything wrong.
Be warned - Portion sizes are huge, even by Texas standards!

I can't believe how delicious the food was! I came to Smithville to visit a friend and we specifically planned my trip because she insisted I came here, and I'm so glad I did! The crab Benny's were AMAZING and we split some mixed fruit stuffed waffles and even between two people we didn't even finish half the waffles! Incredible cause and the staff was amazing! Such a cute atmosphere, definitely a must go for anyone in the area!

This was a great ride to the location, and a great destination as well. The food was great, the serving were... Texas sized... and the ❤️ of the restaurant and the workers there - was simple amazing. Then add the background of Serenity Star... and this will certainly be a repeat trip.
