The Barrel House

Just stopped by this place to check it out. I ordered an appetizer of Cry Baby shrimp and a Cheesehead Burger. The shrimp were some of the best shrimp I've ever had and I lived in Florida for a good part of my life. The burger was decent. Topped with cheese curds and a thousand island type sauce. Definitely will come back again!

The food was delicious and the service was great! The price vs size of the meals is what threw me off. I ordered fish and chips w/ 3 walleye fillets, for $16. Very good very generous portion. My wife ordered the Korean BBQ pork bun taco. It came out with three little delicious tacos, I don't remember the specific price, definitely over $10, maybe over $12. The big one that got me were 4 butterflied shrimp, no side. They were cooked perfectly! With the perfect amount of flavored sauce, perfect crunch to the breading and a beautiful presentation. They cost $14. I wouldn't have even thought about the prices if it weren't for this one. The place was busy

Such great food! All flavorful and well combined with any drunk you order. The Mac n cheese with pulled pork was sinful! I could eat that many times! My husband and I have been here a few times and try to have something new because there are such great options to choose from. Such a grand environment and fantastic staff.

Food was pretty nice, loved how my waitress barely taled to me so I could enjoy the food. The interactions I did have with the waitress were unmemorable, which was neither good or bad. The customer service was great and the margaritas are made to near perfection! Had I had a suitcase full of cash accompanying the drink, only then would it be perfection itself. The fried mushrooms and peanut butter pizza is what would honestly take me back to this restaurant called "Barrel House". All in all a decent 4.2 stars sounds fair for this restaurant of it's caliber.

Food was decent but waitress "shanda"?? Needs customer service training..... and is the reason for 3 stars. Host was good at his job. Good atmosphere except for our waitress arguing with my daughters on why she said she would comp my meal because my meal came out AFTER they were done eating theirs...... then she reneged that offer until they questioned her again after seeing she had my meal price listed on the bill. She was VERY confusing in her explanation. I would go back there again, if in the Sioux falls area, but would appreciate a trained waitress. There was more to the story and this waitress, but I'm trying to just get to the point.
