Staff were extremely impolite. First thing they said was that they didn't have food which was understandable probably because they were closing at 6pm and I came at 5.15pm. No compassion for a heavily pregnant lady. Once my drink was ready, no one called to inform me to take my drink from the counter. The cafe was not even crowded. There was only a couple seated apart from me. Very bad service.

Quiet, chill and brightly lit ambience with warm lights and air conditioned. Great place to hang without much worry about chasing u out because safra Punggol is quite deserted anyway. Laksa was standard and done well - spicy level is there though slightly on the salty side. Good place to hang out with friends and family

A place that brings back nostalgia. The service from the staff like Ms. Wai Sim with her genuine concern for her customers. I was so impressed with Wai Sim service who makes the whole atmosphere so cordial and homely. Gives you a Kampong (Singapore Malay Village where villagers genuinely cares for one another) feel. Probably that's what brought so many customer to this humble shop. And what impressed me was that during the dining experience there were power trips several times which tripped the aircon and all the lights. Even though the shop was stuff and warm without the aircon and dark without the lights. What amazes me was that none of the customers left. All of them choose to stay back and none even complained of the power trip. This response from the customers speaks volumes. The staff Ms Wai Sim has to singlehandedly take on so many roles from being the cashier who takes your orders to payment and even preparing the drinks and food and serving you. And even with the power trip she has to get the power back on. One lady working 5 men's job. I wish she would have her pay raise and promotion. It's such a far cry from the nearby Jack's Place new manager Ben Kok. No wonder customers flock from Jack's Place to this humble eatery.

I like the interior and layout of the cafe as it has indoor and outdoor seatings. Outdoor seatings is pretty chill, quite a nice place to hang out. However, I will down rate this cafe as the food is underwhelming. Display menu of the beef rice looks amazing but the amount of beef given is so pathetic. I'm paying over $10+ for the set that only has 3 pieces of beef.

Tried the Mee Rebus, the sauce was so-so. The only good thing is the crackers which are crispy and nice. Remember to use your safra card when dining here, you will get 10% discount. Also, the toast was good. But they are better ones. We'll, just for satisfying your lunch hunger, this could be your choice.
