Brookside Bagels

Good food but with price have gone up and there are operational problems. I have been coming here for my entire life, and recently this otherwise excellent bagel deli has gotten into some questionable practices. For starters, the wait times have become ridiculous despite being plenty staffed. This place has always been popular, but the main issue is that they've got 8 parking spots dedicated to the order-ahead curbside customers, and as a result, the customers who just want to walk in are being penalized as dozens of curbside people show up. This is very similar to Starbucks now. With high demand comes higher prices than some other local bakeries and delis. I know Simsbury is affluent but the lunch sandwiches here are NYC prices.

The bagels here are delicious. However, it looks like they may take on too much with phone in orders. We ordered in store and waited for nearly 30 minutes until they realized we were still waiting for just 2 bagels. They gave us 6 free bagels in addition to ours but I'm not sure I'd be willing to go back and wait that long for bagels in the future.
