Reviews of Hen Quarter

I've dined here several times for Sunday brunch & solo lunch at the bar. I've never been disappointed. The food is always excellent. Service is friendly but professional. The atmosphere is fun & lively. The outdoor patio is quite nice. Drinks & cocktails are yummy. The restaurant is very clean & well-maintained. I really cannot understand the low rating for this consistently very good to excellent restaurant. I had written a positive review a year ago which included photos. For some strange reason my earlier review is no where to be found. My photos have been deleted as well. Very odd Google reviews. What's up with that? Removing positive reviews to lower the rating of a business?

We decided to try Hen Quarters as our first Sunday location. We were SO happy. Despite a bumpy start with our drunk order, which was graciously corrected, the chicken and waffle that my daughter and I ordered was one of the best. The waffle was savory with scallions and corn, and the chicken was southern flavorful chicken!!!! My other daughter ordered the catfish plate with macaroni and cheese, again pure delight. We will definitely will be back for Sunday brunch again!

I went to the Silver Spring location. I ordered the catfish, with macaroni and cheese, and greens. The food was excellent, but the service was HORRIBLE. My server kept bringing the wrong beverage, and she was unprofessional. The food is good, but I really don't think that I will be back, because the service is awful.
