If you want an epic German feast, then head to this venue. The classic German dishes were delicious, particularly their crispy pork knuckles and crispy pork belly. All dishes I tried were so good. Their service was fantastic. Definitely a venue to check out.

When I saw that The Bavarian had an ‘OTT menu’ this month, I knew I had to visit!
I loaded up with 5kg of my fave four wing flavours (Texas BBQ, Buffalo, Lemon Pepper and Garlic & Parmesan), as well as the OTT burger.
The burger was stacked with Angus beef, bacon, chicken schnitzel, pork belly, Swiss cheese, salad and sauces on their NEW pretzel bun, and was served with the crispiest fries.
Highly recommend visiting if you want a REAL feed!

The service at this restaurant was terrible. We had to ask for everything: water, knives and forks and plates. However once the food had come it was tasty, although the pork schnitzel was very dry and over cooked. Drinks were a good portion size as well. Other than the staff herding everyone in one corner of the restaurant, the atmosphere here was nice so for a good night out it was okay. There are other German restaurant around so I would suggest considering them too.

Beware of a 5% surcharge even for paying cash.
I went to order another beer $24 and a desert $13 and gave $37 cash only to be told I needed to pay another $1.85.
I asked why and the bar staffer said didn't the other bar staffer tell you there is a 5% surcharge...
I said no. I still don't know why it was a surcharge for cash. At other restaurants cash sometimes gets a 5% discount, never a surcharge.
I have been to the other Bavarian at miranda about 2yrs ago and don't remember a surcharge for cash.
Also there were many (~20%) menu items unavailable on this occasion, again don't remember so many items being unavailable previously.
The desert was good so you get 1 star.

Came here for lunch with group of work colleagues on Friday. Food was fairly tasty and large portion, staff nice (though one waitress kept bringing other peoples orders to our table and even we doubled checked with staff that one colleagues parmi would be without ham - it came with ham) also you are asked to order through online app, which is efficient - but shocked that you are forced to pay a surcharge …on every individual order - also very sneaky that when you go to pay app defaults to adding 5% tip!

Had one of the worst dining experiences at this venue on Friday night. We were dining outside - and the rain started coming in. Naturally we head inside to finish our meals only to be told that the venue is not letting any more people in and we would need to finish our food in the staircase. We were already paying customers mid way through eating a meal! Unbelievable.
Our food was sitting outside on the table and got completely drenched, and the security guard refused us to enter; even though we were already paying diners.
Would like to be contacted regarding this manner and a refund for food and drink that was not able to be eaten; as we had to seek shelter elsewhere.

Back again and updated. Much improved. Great food, great service. The COVID break has left then with the best servers. I'll leave the old review in the hope they don't transgress.
Old review.....Sorry to say that this other trip has lead to a marking down. Service has been poor. Waited to be seated for what seemed ages. Watching one server after another simply ignore me. Food was poor. The salad we ordered was sad, the cos leaves well beyond it's use by date. Limp, oxidized, tasteless. The chicken so overcooked that to get any taste into it tomato sauce came to the rescue. That should indicate how bad it was. Even my tasting plate was ordinary. Smallest piece of pork belly I've witnessed and the cracking didn't crack. All the sausages bar the Frankfurter were overcooked. Not a great visit. Especially when I compare it to my last to visits down the street to the Munich in the rocks. Much better service and food even though the menu is almost identical.
Nice place especially quiet days, service with a smile, food quality always good. Beers, imports are great. Not sure about the local brewed stuff.
