Green Pineapple

We really wanted to like this place. We spent time explaining the menu (the layout was difficult for my elderly mom to understand) and eagerly awaited our lunch. And we waited. And we waited. And waited some more. Finally after almost 40 minutes, we asked the counter clerk about our order. It came out about 10 minutes later. The poke bowl was good. My mom enjoyed her kimchi grilled cheese. My Bi Bim Bop was mediocre. Tables had not been cleaned between patrons. I think they were severely understaffed for being one of the few restaurants open for lunch on Sunday. It was very busy. They ran out of bottled water to sell. I hope that my experience was an anomaly.

My family of 8 and I drove over to Shepherdstown all excited to specifically go to the Green Pineapple. The website says they are open. Sadly we found it closed, although the chalkboard clearly states they should be open. Two couples and a group of three people walked by also surprised to find it closed. We all left disappointed 🙁

Perfect little corner shop. Everything was delicious! The korean steak taco was filled with flavor. The kimchi bacon grilled cheese was one of tge best things I have eaten in a long time. This was also the best bubble tea ever! We will drive the 30 minutes to eat here regularly! They only accept cash tips, so be prepared. Can't wait to go back!

Great Ramen, tea and bubble tea. Sushritos , not so much. No wasabi was served or soy sauce. Very hard to eat cuz it fell apart after two bites. Flavorless with out soy wasabi and ginger. Expensive and disappointing after the first / bites. 😞🤮all that rice in the sushirito is just a ruse to charge way too much money . Tasty but bland . 😞💔Incase y’all don’t know what a sushitito is, it’s a giant sushi roll, rolled like a burrito in seaweed paper. Rice surrounds the paper and the ingredients of your choice are inside. It’s rolled like a burrito. Tastes awfull without wasabi and soy, like regular sushi rolls. I don’t get why it’s not served with it. 😬plus even if you eat there your order is in a carry out container which doesn’t fair well with the Ramen. Our cardboard bowl leaked all over our new truck. WTH? Also pay close attention to your order , it will NOT come out at the same time. Check your bag,, so far I’ve been there twice and they have forgotten an item each time. If it’s busy there and crowded, your best bet is to go another time. They can’t handle an overloaded busy order. We went at 200 on a sat afternoon and didn’t get our order till 345, and not all of our order at one time. Too me, this is just unaccusable. Shows total lack of management and immaturity. Especially when I saw the two employees in the floor on their cell phone together giggling. But… the RAMEN was as close as you will ever find around here to authentic. I’m from Annandale VA, which is predominantly Asian , so I know what authentic Asian cuisine is. Tighten up your service and condiments and you might survive..loved the Irish pub down the street. Way better service.
