The burgers have a great flavor and are substantial. The prices are steep for a burger and fries joint, I suspect because they can charge the prices as they are somewhat of a novelty being accessible by hungry folks by the boat load.

Drive down Shelby C. R. 47 to it's southern end and find the best handmade burgers. A better way to get there is to steer your boat, on the Coosa river (Lay Lake) up Waxahatchee creek. Dock at the marina sign with the flashing arrow. Nell and the gang will fix you up with best burgers on Lay.
