Had always wanted to stop here, having been driving past it for about five years now. It is DEFINITELY worth stopping for! Had the "Greek Islands Special" it was delicious! Got it with the Greek Salad and my comment to the waitress (who provided exceptional service, by the way) was: "Y'all need to raise some prices!" Only thing keeping me from giving it a 5.0 is that the veggies served with my meal were previously frozen. Aside from that? Everything here was PERFECT and I look forward to stopping again!
Fantastic service and food.... Thursday evening buffet is both delicious and affordable.. They serve a good breakfast and I recommend the SOS (locals know what it is) and don't forget the homefries
I live in New Jersey and camped for many years in Shartlesville. I manage a group home for men with intellectual disabilities and for the past 23 years we have been eating at this restaurant. My staff and the guys living in the home have always been treated like gold while dining there. We have all actually come to be an extended family. The staff know all the guys by name and usually can write their order down before they give it to them. This is more than any restaurant in NJ that we frequent often. In all our years eating there we have never gotten a bad meal. The owners and their children are wonderful, loving, caring people. We do not camp anymore but still try to frequent the restaurant at least one time monthly. Many and Stasy never let us leave without giving the guys a snack for later at home. We highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.
The best in town!!!!!!. My husband and I have eaten here for 18 years. We love the food the people and the atmosphere. We feel like family when we are there. My 2 sons always have great things to say about The Blue Mountain.Wonderful service.Stop on by give it a try!!!!We actually live 80 miles away and will wait til we get there to get a bite, before camping.
A great restaurant with great service and prices!. Hubby and I stopped by Blue Mountain Family Restaurant by chance on a trip from Florida to New Brunswick, Canada (to move North). I didn't, at first glance, think I'd care for this place. Then I saw the menu. Spanakopita??! Baklava?! Oh my! I love Greek foods, but our restaurants at home don't serve a thing like this.
The food we received was delectable! I had the Spanakopita, hubby had a crazy burger with a fried egg on top, and I could not pass up the Baklava after our meal.
We got complementary soup from our waitress, who was super nice (and also named Laura!) and she made sure we had enough food to carry us through to our next destination.
When we got the bill and it was only $24, I was 'jaw on the floor' amazed. We were stuffed with fresh food made in house, for so little, and we had food for the road (fresh rolls, pumpkin bread... I think we got a sampling of everything!). We left the waitress a large tip - she deserved it.
Would we, or will we, be back in the future? Should we ever travel through PA again (and I hope we do), we'll definitely return the trip through and back! I'd eat here again in a heart beat. It was by far the most comforting dining experience of the entire trip through many States and the province of New Brunswick.
An Oasis on I-78 (Excellent All Around). My wife and I absolutely love this place. After 20 years of driving between NYC and W. MD and always trying to just power through without stopping for a sit-down meal we finally pulled off last week in Shartlesville. Now we will stop every single time. The food is excellent, home-cooked, served piping hot, generous portions, dinner specials every day that are unbelievably reasonable in price (We had salad bar, entrees with sides, dessert and coffee and the bill was under $20 total)! They also have an excellent salad bar included with dinners, home-baked breads and desserts. Oh, and our waitress was a real pro and a sweetheart. She was juggling 6 tables and stayed on top of every one down to the coffee refills. I'll take this over a Cracker Barrel or any other franchise restaurant anyday!
Anytime we're driving through this is always a stop for us. Great breakfast and so many great choices for the rest of the day. Before covid they had a salad bar, hope it comes back when things are safe it was tasty!
Super duper cute little ma and pa shop. Easy off the exit. Yummy food and very nice staff. It definitely is a regular to the local old timers
Great family restaurant. The portions were plentiful and the food was delicious. Our server was attentive as well. Looking forward to coming back.
This fine family restaurant accommodate a hungry Boy Scout Troop with a family style dinner. We had reservations and the wait staff was very accommodating and attentive.
The food was delicious and there was something for everyone (even the snoopy eaters). Parking lot is large.
Great courteous professio al and friendly service, not to mention good food.
Great place to stop and get a meal and friendly staff and their prices are good..
Complete menu. All our choices were well executed. But for the love of God, don't ever put broccoli in vegetable beef soup!
