Great atmosphere and friendly staff. And really awesome food, I had the 1 meat and 3 vegetables and it was the best food I had during my week long roadtrip. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting Selma. It did smell a little moldy inside and also it's not in the best shape, but so much better than fast food chains.

It was alright I guess. The location is beautiful. The tuna salad was a little watery (too much mayo) but the other items were good. Other than that, it is a decent place to eat when in Selma, Alabama.

Walking into the restaurant an immediate smell of very old, dirty mop water hit me. It did not go away. The entire time I had to smell that and the group of people I went with said the bathroom smelled even WORST (after smelling the place I didn't even want to use the bathroom). The sweet tea was not good and not sweet despite adding 4 extra sugar packets myself & I don't even like really sweet sweet tea. I am 99.9% certain the food comes out of cans and you would be better off going to the grocery store and heating it in a pot yourself. The collard greens tasted just like Glory seasoned collard greens in a can (glory greens are okay for a family gathering but not at a restaurant I am paying money for at least spice it up a bit), the "beef tips" was more of a beef stew and tasted like the cans of beef stew I would get in my free grocery bag at school, the mac n cheese tasted SOUR (everyone in my group that had it agreed and well quite frankly NO ONE enjoyed most their food) like all the diary products in it were spoiled and the consistency was weird. The "yams" were more like baby food and mushy as if it was sweet potato pie filling, but not nearly as good. My friend had the bbq chicken and it was the SMALLEST drum and thigh I have seen. The only thing that was eaten from my plate were the "beef tips" and only because I was on a trip and had nothing else to eat. I would NOT recommend anyone eating here. I have never been to jail however I imagine this food is one of the closest I can get to it on the outside.

DO NOT EAT HERE!! It smells like old mop water as soon as you walk in and never goes away. We ordered a cheeseburger and club sandwich and it took 45 mins for it to come out. They brought out my burger and it was cold the fries were cold. I finished my whole meal before my husband's simple club even came out. It was 20 mins MORE before the sandwich even came to the table. We had to get it to go because we could not stand the moldy smell of the place any longer. I would have rather eat at the wal mart down the street then ever come to this place. People beware do not eat here. NOT WORTH IT!!!!!

I was surprised to get a meal with one meat and three veggies with tea and corn bread included. All for under $9.95! Very hospitable and welcoming to our large group !

Fresh food but not very organized. Biscuit was dry little bit. Went there around 8am. There are using all the disposable cutlery which is good.

For the money probably one of the best lunches you get during the week. Bernice and her staff are top-notch and very friendly. A wonderful place to have lunch during the week
