This is the best Mediterranean restaurant I've ever eaten at. I have trouble ordering Shawarma at other places because of the expectations that this gem has given me. Also, reasonably priced, which is rare in the city.

Best gyro place on the ave. Been coming here for years and it blows Aladdin out of the water! The food is so well prepared that it made me love lamb. Everything is fresh, and I love the chunks of cucumber in the gyros.
Other than the food, what had always made Shawarma King stand out to me is the open friendliness of the staff; every interaction I've had with them had been super pleasant and I've always left the counter feeling a little brightened up.
The other stark contrast to other similar places in the area is that the space is open and CLEAN. No residue of grease, gross bathrooms, etc.
Prices are very reasonable- 7.99 for a gyro combo.
Shawarma King is definitely a local hot spot on the Ave near the University of Washington. This Mediterranean style restaurant has a decently large menu at good prices. Their portions are quite large as well, which is always a plus, especially for local students. Parking outside can be a pain sometimes, but they have lots of seating inside and take out goes pretty quickly. They make their food fresh and are quick so there's not a lot of waiting around. I always go for the plates since it's a combo of rice, meat, humus, salad and pita - you can't beat it. The staff here are always so nice too, they seem to always love a good laugh with the customers.
Amazing food. The lamb and chicken added in the wraps are fresh and delicious. The tahini garlic sauce blend is so good along with the pickles and lettuce. The wrap also was great and not like the tough ones most places use. I had 2 chicken/lamb wraps and I wish I had more!
Very nice cook, manages mostly everything solo, was very understanding and withstood my questions. Cute selection of drinks, small seating area with simple decor. Straightforward menu, well seasoned food, decent proportions. The lamb was delicate and good.
Great food! That first bite hits you with lots of fresh and citrusy flavors! I loved that everything is handmade, even the pita bread! Would highly recommend!
Ah! Fantastic! The dolmas were perfect and not just drowning in sour, you can actually taste the flavors. The rice was perfectly seasoned!!! Ah a dream. The baklava was not like the typical syrupy cloyingly overly sweetened pastry of many, many similar restaurants in America. It is made in house and to their taste which happens to be my taste too! I can’t stop raving about this place.
If you are craving for some shawarma while visiting Seattle, this place is great! The shawarmas were delicious and were made similar to how they are in the Middle East, in terms of taste.
The only minor negative about the place is that its dine-in seating could be improved. Rearranging the seating option so it’s more inviting to sit and dine-in.
Great food and service. The King Greek fries are saucy and delicious
