Nice hole in the wall places for some authentic Vietnamese food. Got the #1 banh mi and it was great! The bread was nicely toasted and they did made sure there was enough meat and pate/mayo on the sandwich.
Best Vietnamese deli in Seattle. Their banh mi are cheap, filling, and delicious.
best Vietnamese food around here, and great Banh Mi. If you are looking for good food at afforable price, come here. the flavor is very Vietnamese. Although we have 3 parts in Vietnam and each has different taste, but the food here is very flavorful and easy to eat for all. And please do not compare the food here and other places as we all have different taste and also, comparing the Vietnamese food here to other states just likes talking about BBQ in Texas vs Kansas
Simply spectacular. Don't let its appearance or location dissuade you from getting one of the best banh mis you'll ever have.
Got a pulled pork banh mi for $5 here. Also tried their fried bananas. Good prices for most things except bubble tea was expensive at $5. Would like to go back and try more some other time. Also lots of other options in the international district of Seattle.
After doing a cha gio/egg roll crawl around little saigon, I’d say this is the best out there. I don’t know if its just really good taste or it reminds me of my mom’s recipe but it sure hella tasted good. This is considering Tan Dinh and Saigon Deli. All the other foods here are good too and surprisingly affordable at their quality. The shop itself though however is very small. Minimum of $5 purchase for card
I've been coming here since I was 15 and I'm 34 now. The only thing that's changed is the prices, same food, same people, same good value. This place should be a protected city landmark.
The banh mi I got at Saigon Vietnam Deli was pretty good. I visited on a Thursday morning after 9am and there was no wait. The menu was extensive and the metal tables were full of saran-wrapped Vietnamese foods. The warming trays looked really good and fresh. I believe the rice with two sides is about $6 as of writing. Overall, the prices are comparable to other delis in the area. The banh mi prices actually increased to $4 starting June 15th which puts them in line with what I've seen elsewhere. I ended up ordering the roast pork banh mi but unfortunately got a BBQ pork banh mi. It was disappointing but I don't hold it against them. The BBQ pork was tasty and warm - I believe it was heated up in a microwave. The baguette was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside as well and the daikon and carrots added a nice acid balance. I would definitely return but I would get a meal from the warming trays because the offerings looked really good.
EDIT: I visited Saigon Vietnam Deli again for a hot meal and was impressed. For $6 it’s a great deal. The hot food was really fresh at 9am and the flavors were great. I ended up going with eggplant tofu and the pork meatballs in red sauce. The eggplant was cooked to have some slightly crispy pieces but I appreciated the vibrant purple that was on some of the pieces. The tofu was really tasty as well. The pork meatballs were as good as I’ve had with a good flavor in the sauce and the meatballs had a good consistency. I would visit here for a great meal.
