I went here with my two teenagers and this was their #1 favorite place we visited in Seattle. So many cute friendly kitties to play with. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy. The staff was wonderful and of course so were the cats. Most of their kitties are up for adoption and I think this cat cafe is an excellent place and idea for helping cats find new homes.
I originally came to the Meowtropolitan because I wanted some coffee. I came back again because I decided cats were cute. Then I came back with all sorts of questions about cats and went home thinking about all things cat-related. Suddenly, I was submitting an adoption application and waiting to find out whether I'd be going home with Friskers or Astro. Eventually, Friskers became Riza, my talkative BFF. As a first time cat owner, I was so relieved to be able to talk to such knowledgeable staff about cat care and the adoption process. I can't even begin to express my thanks for allowing me to ask an endless barrage of questions! I highly recommend the Meowtropolitan if you're looking to get to know your future best friend before adopting them or if you're just looking to have a great mocha. (P.S. Check out how Riza is doing on her IG: meow.riza !!)
Went on a friday afternoon after booking a 30 min appointment. There were about 8-10 people total per session, and there were plenty of cats to pet and play with for everyone. Only drinks were served (super cute hot chocolate). Overall, would love to to again!
Consistently have come here when traveling through Seattle. It's such a great experience being able to hang out with cats and sip your coffee along side furry friends. Only complaint is the cats aren't up for adoption. I wish they focused more on getting animals adopted to good homes than just showing them off.
My kids and I had a lovely time. The cats were sweet, and fun to interact with. My kids are already asking when we can go back.
And my coffee was really good!
This is definitely a place to go to be with cats. There are many of them there, and they are gentle and sweet. Some are more interactive than others. I didn't realize they don't sell food anymore (probably due to covid?), and the drinks were cute but not very good. So, don't go for the food and drinks, go for the cats.
DIED FROM CUTENESS!!!
►I absolutely LOVE cats... I went around lunchtime, so I got the chance to feed the cats!! I don't remember the names but the cats were too cute!! (Forgive me for the camera quality)◄
We recently lost our beloved senior cat, so I went to Seattle Meowtropolitan to visit the lovely cats there. (Some of them are in fact up for adoption! It seems there is a core group of cats that live permanently at the cafe and then adoptable cats are brought in periodically. It seems they get adopted quickly given how easy you get to know them.) My experience was that the cats had plenty of space to move about, but the majority of them were quite used to people and excited for attention. I was expecting them to be more standoffish but within minutes a big grey and white tuxedo sweetheart had forced their way into my lap, and two younger cats were happily chasing any toy I waved at them. If you need a quiet moment with lots of happy cats, this is the place to go.
