Great place to visit for drinks and food. I recommend the happy hour as it gives you a good sampling of the available food and drinks. The fried chicken is worth the trip on its own, adding a sandwich and some sides just makes it complete.
As a non-drinker I can recommend the non alcoholic beverages, which I assume would translate to the alcoholic drinks, but that's on you to explore and decide.
The sandwiches are hearty, the sides are generous, and the fried chicken dinner is worth it. I recommend getting the regular chicken dinner with the sauces on the side.
Patio seating isn't terrible, it's nice when the weather cooperates.
Parking sucks. Just park on the street because the side lot is easy to get into but atrocious to get out.
So I stopped in on Monday and unfortunately, I didn’t read the website and didn’t realize they were closed on Mondays . So I immediately made a plans for Sunday brunch…. To Just order random things off the menu and every random thing I ordered was pretty damn good !! Such a great atmosphere and everyone’s welcome. Definitely stop in and give them a try if you can !!
I really like the chicken here! It was delicious! I tried the strawberry margarita, and it was very good! Service was good, and they have many beer options! I love the fries with chipotle seasoning, but I wish they had chicken and burgers with fries included in the menu
A friend of mine recommended this restaurant, so we decided to check it out. The location is a bit peculiar, situated between Fremont and Ballard and surrounded by residential areas. When we walked in, the staff greeted us with smiles, and while their happy hour discounts were not substantial, we decided to give them a try. I ordered a beer, while one of my friends went for a Champagne margarita, which he thoroughly enjoyed.
I had heard that their award-winning chicken plate was a must-try, so I went for that. It arrived crispy and delicious, and I could see why it had won awards. While I would say the food was good, it wasn't something that would make me go out of my way to visit the restaurant again.
One thing to note is that the restaurant is mostly self-serve. The staff member who assisted us was pleasant, but unfortunately, the bartender seemed to have an attitude, which left us with mixed feelings about the customer service.
Overall, the restaurant had its pros and cons. While the food was enjoyable, it wasn't exceptional enough to warrant another visit. If you're in the area, it's worth checking out, but it's not a destination restaurant
This is a really good spot to hang out with friends and family while enjoying some really good comfort food. They have a wide selection of beers on tap. The gumbo, by far, was the best we have ever had. The fried chicken is so flavorful and moist. The waffles are the best we've ever had as well. The Brussels sprouts are a must and so are the hush puppies.
Delicious food and drinks.
Been here a few times and the staff are friendly, the drinks are unique, and the food is flavorful, definitely recommend. For service, sit at the bar for sure.
Cozy joint with friendly staff and some good food options! Absolutely loved the loaded gumbo the most - only got a cup but should have opted for the bowl. It's just the perfect cold weather comfort food. Spicy fried chicken had good crunch and texture but wasn't really spicy for us (they have hot sauces tho!) And the coleslaw and mac salad were solid. Good option for a date night to try some new things :)
just had the best brisket sandwich I've ever had.
I also had the pork sandwich. the pork sandwich had a lot of jalapenos and was delightfully spicy.
the brisket sandwich was spicier than I expected as well in a good way but not as spicy as the pork sandwich.
I also had the josephine cocktail. it was well balanced and slightly sweet.
I loved it.
My wife and I went here for Seattle restaurant week and got to try various items amongst the two of us. This is a great little restaurant/pub for amazing creole food.
The fried chicken entree, gumbo, and bread pudding dessert are must try food items. The fried chicken is so crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The chicken breast especially is juicy.
The hush puppies and brussels sprouts are also great sides.
For the drinks, we got Dolores and strawberry surfer. The drinks were delicious!
The server and the owner were very nice and the service was fast.
Best Cajun food in Seattle! Great gumbo, hush puppies, fried chicken sandwich and brisket sandwich to die for! Coming back to try what looks to be an incredible bar!!
