Green Papaya is a locally owned and run Vietnamese restaurant. The inside is much bigger than you think, so lots of seating, with a good sized parking lot outside. They do lots of to go orders and are quite busy pretty often. Their prices are average and their portions are very good. Their staff is super nice all the time and their food is delicious. Not many other Vietnamese places around here, but this one's probably on the top of the list so I would highly recommend.
Great food and quick service with a quiet atmosphere! I have fond family memories of the restaurant that was in this location prior to this one, but the food is just as good if not better, and it has a different look. The staff is very friendly and the food comes out very fast! I had the lemongrass tofu vermicelli which was fantastic! The tofu was well flavored and the portion was larger than I am used to seeing. According to my family, the pho is one of the better that they have tried, so I want to give it a taste next time I'm there.
My coworkers and I love this place we eat here at least twice a month and sometimes twice a week! The new owners have really upped their game. It's gotten an upgrade aesthetically. The food is delicious. The pho will heal you and the spring rolls with peanut sauce are ridiculously good.
Seattle is a place with an abundance of Pho restaurants, and the majority of them seem to just stick to mediocrity. They find a way to make some cheap beef broth and rice noodles and call it Pho, expecting you'll be happy eating it because you don't know any better. This place however is the best Pho restaurant in the area, and one of the best in Seattle in my opinion.
I absolutely love their broth, as it seems to stand out better then the rest. But Pho is just the start, because this place has an entire Vietnamese food menu. The way they cook their meats for the rice dishes is delicious. I would highly recommend trying their Vietnamese chicken or pork sandwiches. I've found a personal favorite combination of getting a small pho and a chicken sandwich, and dipping the sandwich in the beef broth. I'd say I order this about 90% of the time I go, because the bread soaks up all the beef broth for a fantastic treat!
Yes the decor is a tad dull, and the service might not be your 5 star restaurant variety, but for great tasting and cheap eats I highly recommend trying this place out.
Probably the best Pho I have had so far in Seattle. Friendly staff and fast service. We come here regularly, and it is it go to for ordering out when sick! Love it here and I highly recommend the Pho and the Thai iced tea.
While the atmosphere and service aren't anything to get excited about, the Pho is incredibly delicious, and easily makes up for any other shortfalls this place might have. The broth it's definitely some of the best pho broth I've ever had (and I've been to a LOT of Pho places). The meats are great, except for the meatballs which are pretty bland in my opinion. The noodles are good, both nothing too amazing. However, the broth is just sooo insanely tasty. Also, a "small" is more than enough to fill me up. A "large" could easily fill up two people.
If you're in Lake City and want some Pho, go to Pho Binh, hands down. The other Pho place a couple blocks south on Lake City Way, Pho An is terrible in comparison to this place, at least in terms of flavor.
Very adequate pho noodle shop with Asian "comfort food". When I lived in Lake City this is my go-to if I was under the weather. The family that runs this place was always friendly to me and the food is tasty, at a very reasonable price.
Parking is very easy, within their own large parking lot.
Pho is outstanding. The pork sandwiches are okay, no jalapeno or cucumber on them, but yeah it's good. Got the chicken fried rice a few times, very good.
It is a good place, good environment, well decorated, nice people, good food (albeit, some of the things seemed a bit sweet) but otherwise very delicous. I had the pork ban mi and pho. The pho was a bit more expensive than im used to, but then again this is seattle. But yeah would recommend!
Pretty good pho and rice plate. I had the pork rice plate and a pork banh mi. The pork was soft and the sauce was delicious. Not too sweet. Pretty close to Kenmore too. Wife said the soup for the pho was pretty good as well. Not very expensive at all and the place was pretty clean.
