Hands down THE BEST chicken sandwich I’ve had in my life (not kidding). There’s something about this place… their fried sandwich is just *chef’s kiss* I always recommend Ma’ono if I’m in Uvillage and need a quick bite to eat, but I definitely want to stop by their other locations too!! You have to order the fries separately and the side of pickles, then get a drink from Rachel’s Ginger Beer while you’re waiting. I will say their chicken is definitely on the oilier side…it’s notttt the healthiest, but I guess we are talking about fried chicken here lol. I always order my chicken “mild” which still has a little kick to it, the perfect amount in my opinion. You can customize everything to your liking and add different side options. Definitely stop by if you’re in the area!

Ma'ono and Rachel's Ginger Beer share a shop front. Service was great, dining experience is super casual (counter service), and the food was satisfying. French fries were particularly satisfying. Pretty cool that you can mix ginger beer flavors!

Was looking for an afternoon snack and I thought why not a chicken sandwich? I happened to recall that there was a fried chicken place inside Rachel’s Ginger Beer, and decided to check it out. I ordered it with mild spice and wished I ordered it spicier with extra pickles on the side because I wanted a tiny bit more acidity from the sandwich. The sandwich itself? The fried chicken to bun ratio was massive in my opinion. I was really happy to discover that I got a thick large piece of chicken in between these soft buns. I wished there were more pickles (I think there were only 3 slices) but the ginger beer nicely compliments/finishes off the fried chicken. Overall pretty satisfied!

Anytime I come to the university village to help the wifey shop, I stop into Maona for an amazing chicken sandwich and fries. Be careful because even the medium sandwich is still pretty spicy. Grab some extra dipping sauces and also a drink from Rachel's ginger beer for a delicious cocktail. This is a very good lunch spot and will cure any fried chicken craving you may have. Not the cheapest burgers but the quality is exceptional.

Ordered the fried chicken sandwich with medium heat and the potato mac salad. I loved the crispiness and texture of the chicken sandwich but the meat itself could’ve had more flavor. Also the medium heat level was very conservative. The potato mac salad was to my liking, I just wish there were salt and pepper shakers or packets provided so I could adjust the savoriness.

It was a very busy day for both Ma’ono Fried Chicken and Rachel’s Ginger Brew but we still were able to get a spot to sit. The food came out warm but not hot. Which would be fine for the chicken sandwich but the fries at warm to cooler temp made them not quite as tasty. I would go for the level 3 spicy next time.

fried drumsticks were juicy and succulent! but felt the skin could be more crunchy. Fries were decent with a slight crunch. The pulled chicken thigh sandwich was surprisingly good, although was smaller than expected. the BBQ sauce was a good complement though. Also got the honey mustard sauce which was a little too watery, making it hard for the sauce to stay on the food after dipping.

Fried chicken is good here! Order line is separate from Rachel’s ginger beer bar. I’m a fan of spicy food and only ordered the second to the most spicy option. Honestly I’d tried the most spicy option for the extra kick. Location is pretty nice and faces the street in U village. Nice hangout place with friends here with some cook drinks and spicy chicken

This is a four star place. Food is solid but not that great. I had the fried chicken sandwich which had good crust but wasn't that flavorful and toppings were fine. I asked for ranch to make it taste better. Cucumber poke was quite nice.

Excellent service, it was fast and smooth, GREAT FOOD! That chicken was a win; I got medium hot and it was just the perfect level. Very straightforward and simple yet so delicious. A little too expensive tho 😬 $12 for just the sandwich 🤷‍♂️. I went with a friend who got the drumsticks 🍗 and he loved it just as much. I sampled some of the drinks, they were a little too sour for me but still very flavorful. Highly highly recommended if you are looking for the right crispy sandwich you’ve been craving for a while. Best chicken sandwich you will ever have. Chick fil who?? Bruh😒
