Clean basics fares in a very small space with no banchan side dishes. The menu is kind of limited but it’s pretty good execution. Like that they use nice serving dishes and utensils. Super polite and nice people, which is not the norm for Korean joints. Catered to non-Koreans but they all speak Korean.

Exceptionally kind staff, great food, and fantastic vibes and ambiance. Located in a small, nice neighborhood. Couldn’t ask for more.

I am a huge Korean snob and this is the best place I’ve found in Seattle. Maybe the best Korean in the state.
Food is incredible, staff is friendly and parking is easy.
If you’re wondering where to go, this is the place. Just do it.

Walked there on a sunny Saturday morning. The seafood Jjampong noodle was amazing. The soup had a very rich and firey taste, super fresh ingredients, absolutely loved it! Waiter was very considerate and served food really fast. 100% recommend and will revisit.

If I could give this more stars, I would because everything in itself was beyond five stars. The service was impeccable, the server we ordered takeout with was kind and leisurely. He was very thoughtful with our order as we were taking it to the beach for a picnic. The tempura was perfect. Even after being boxed up for a few minutes, and the miso soup was full of flavor. I ordered a chicken dish that was full of flavor and very large portions and my friend had a tteokbokki that was the best version of it that I have ever tried. We will definitely be back here again, and I love to know that there is a great option for picnic lunches at Madison Beach Park.

BEST BIBIMBAP in Seattle!! Small, clean, great food, welcoming team & great service. We came back for the bibimbap again but the rice cakes, jeon, & japchae are phenomenal as well. This spot is a gem and the food is delicious. Definitely recommend! A must if you love Korean food!

The food was delicious, our 4 years old asked for a second seaweed salad plate! The protein salad was also very tasty. The service was very friendly, we had a good time, felt comfortable and will be back! :)

The chicken katsu was so good, plus it came with a lot of sides, so you really get your money's worth. I plan on coming back to try the pork katsu.

As someone who grew up eating my Halmoni's cooking, this is some of the most authentic and best Korean I have had for sure. Fresh ingredients, bold flavors, great value, and quaint atmosphere. Highly recommend checking out this little spot.

Korean restaurant in Madison Park? Really? So many 5* reviews, so I had to check it out. If you're looking for a traditional Korean restaurant, Hanok is not it. MP is old Seattle, affluent, white, million $ manses, last place one would expect to find a Korean eatery. Located close to the park/lake; service was friendly, attentive, efficient, fast - 5*. Atmosphere is cozy, combination of 6 indoor tables for 2 & 4 ppl, outdoor tables available (weather permitting), clean, well maintained - 4* (restroom 3*). Food was 3*. Fresh, quality ingredients but bland, lacking personality/flavor. No traditional side dishes (wasn't expecting anyway from a non-traditional K-restaurant). Spicy stirfried seafood was red but no heat. Beef sukiyaki nabe was well prepared but lackluster (Japanese dish that is generally on the bland side anyway but...🙄). One word to describe the food is: sterile, meaning the food quality and preparation were a passing grade, by no means bad but lacking significant flavor & character; cuisine lacking Chosun tradition & depth; modern Korean food that kind of has the appearance of Korean food but taste/flavor tailored for inexperienced non-Asian 🎨. Perhaps the reason for its location. Overall, got a full stomach, generous portions and reasonable value. If you're hoping to taste a traditional Korean grandma's home cooking secret recipes or a Korean Iron Chef, this ain't it. Hanok is a decent place but look elsewhere for authentic, traditional tasting K-food.
