Ben is a delightful guy from Chicago's West Side. He understands deep dish Chicago pizza, Italian Beef and most importantly creamy garlic dressing.
They have an excellent variety of local craft beers, good wines and Chicago style hot dogs to seal the deal! For a refugee from Chicago, I found a sanctuary joint!
This place is super good! Excellent deep dish ... My mouth was in heaven... Great service and atmosphere too!
We came here to try out the Chicago style pizza. I have gone to Chicago and had the "real" Chicago style pizza, so I'm using that as something to compare this chain to.
First of all, the waiter was very nice and professional. The pizza was ready in about half an hour, which is average for a Chicago pizza.
The pizza itself was delicious! The crust was soft on the inside, yet crisp pm the outside. There was a good amount of cheese. The pizza was really filling, I could only eat 2 slices!
Is it as good as the original stuff? No. But it's pretty darn close, and well worth the money
Hands down the best and most authentic Chicago deep dish pizza in the seattle area . I wish they made the Chicago style thin crust that has become another Chicago staple. not too crazy about the Italian beef sandwich. the meat and the bread are excellent as well as the flavor but I always used to get my sandwich dipped in the gravy which made for a very juicy sandwich. I asked him to do this every time but I guess they forget. the hot dogs are good nothing out of the ordinary or rather extraordinary. Another thing I wish they had more of on the menu is appetizers. but other than those two things I can't say much bad about Benito's. I love that it is in Ballard and so close to my home. whenever I need a fix for deep dish pizza Benito's will always be my number one go to spot.
I'm a huge fan of chicago-style pizza. The crust was excellent. The sauce was decent. The presentation - it was definitely of Chicago. The price was good - I think it was $22 for a 14-inch spinach. (Two slices should fill you up comfortably.) They also have a delivery area.
I would go here again, or get delivery when I'm at a friend's place within their delivery zone. I still prefer Delfino's, but Benito's is a respectable step up from Kylie's.
This place has amazing hot dogs, but the deep dish pizza leaves something to be wanted. I visited this place a few times a year ago and again just recently, and I feel like they've changed the recipe. I'm docking one star because of that and the wait time, but the food there is just amazing.
Great staff and good flavors. This Chi style pizza was a little different then what I am use to having. I an used to having all the toppings baked in to the pie with scoops of sauce on top. This ones has toppings on the top...I guess that's why they call it toppings though.
Best Chicago beef in Seattle by far! Being a Chicago boy myself, I've searched far and wide for a beef sandwich like I used to enjoy back home, until Benito's came along, my searches had gone without success....juicy/savory plates, quality meat, and awesome service is what you'll get at Benito's.... Additionally, they're homemade coleslaw is one of a kind and makes a unique flavor out of an ordinary side dish.
This is the BEST pizza in Seattle hands down . This place is so amazing . The crust on the deep dish is to die for . Everyone should try this . Excellent . It's the only thick crust pizza in Seattle . I'm so glad I found it ! The staff is awesome, helpful ne super nice . I will keep coming back and telling everyone I can lol #PizzaLove
Better than Chicago! Delicious with PBR on tap!
As a native Chicagoan i was really looking froward to something Chicagoan. its named Benitos CHICAGO. The sandwiches are named after Chicago landmarks. This is not Chicago food. At least not yet. The waitress (who BTW was great) said they were still doing a soft opening which after almost 2 months seems a bit out of the norm.
The Chicago hotdog which at 7-8 bucks seems a bit hight but if its good I do not really care. Its not a Chicago bun. its not a Chicago hot dog. it feels almost like a weird marriage of something a metrosexual father would have at a BBQ.
The Beef (Sears Tower). The sandwich first of all could easily be eaten by 2 people if it could stay together. The beef is cut too thick which makes the flavor almost nonexistent. I go back to Chicago all the time and for example Portillo's has it wet with real hot peppers (the ones here should not even be called that) so I am not going to tell the chef or owner how to but i will say its not Chicago style.
The best part of it was the salad and dressing which was tasty. That being said a Chicago themed place with a great salad and not good hot dog seems a bit different.
This ALL being said I want this place to work. I always miss my Chicago fix and it really is good food. From the reviews mainly on yelp the question keeps being asked if its Chicago authentic vs Chicago inspired. Well my answer to that is two fold. If you name something CHICAGO and your food is named after CHICAGO landmarks well then....... Its like if it looks like, smells like and acts like a duck well guess what. Its a DUCK. Thats what is so perplexing about this place.
Secondly good food is good no matter price, name or location (that another point!) but so far I have been there 3 times and whether its inspired by my home town or wherever its not so good.
My hope is they get it together and we can all go there and enjoy!
Great food, great staff, one of the best iced teas I've had in forever. The dog was big and definitely satisfied. Something very unique and delicious about that potato salad too!
