The people at Harborview burn center were absolutely outstanding! Every single one of them greeted my son, and goofed off or played with him at some point. They made it fun. I cannot thank them enough! They treated us like family, and we are so very grateful!
I’m at Harborview right now and absolutely everybody has been fantastic, from the admitting clerks to the radiology techs to the amazing nursing staff and the great doctors. Honestly, the only place I think I might get better care than this is at home, from my wonderful wife. Still wish I wasn’t here, but that is no reflection on the care I’ve had.
Truly, the most kind, professional and thoughtful staff I have ever received care from. They made me feel so much better despite the fact that I was injured. One of the nurses literally wiped the tears from my eyes, and held my hand during my nerve block. Every single staff member that I encountered down to the receptionist and the security guard were so incredibly Kind. They made what should have been an awful experience so much better. Everything down to getting my pain meds and getting directions around the hospital was so quick and easy and every nurse and doctor pays such great attention to detail. I visited several other hospitals, and they all sucked except for Harborview. Not to be dramatic or anything, but I would literally go back to this hospital just to hangout with the staff because they were that great.
I have been receiving care here for over a year and couldn’t be happier. Multiple visits and 2 week long hospital visits. Surgeons, nurses, receptionists, really all of the employees have been so helpful and kind. Im getting brain surgery this spring and I am nervous but at the same time confident that I’ll be ok.
The nurses and doctors at this hospital care about their patients and do all they can to find solutions to the patients medical issues. I personally have been sick most of my life. I got admitted to Harborview after a visit with my Kidney team. I was taken directly to the ER where they treated me with kindness and compassion (which I do not get at all from my home hospital). I was admitted and the inpatient team of doctors and nurses are absolutely amazing. I would recommend this hospital to anyone who wants to be treated like they matter.
I am very thankful for how this hospital took care of my son especially to the face specialist that perform surgery on my son’s lips. The specialist took the time to meticulously re-examine my son and had to re-do what my local hospital did wrong, they have used permanent stitches which had to be removed.
Overall i am very thankful with all the staffs, nurses, doctors and specialists that work at this hospital for all what you did for my son Thank You
They do their all and provided the most effective care for the state I was in both mentally and physically. I hope to never be back but I'm glad the staff and treatment I received was what I got. I'm thankful for the entire staff
ER desk staff was so nice despite some obnoxious clientele. The ER nurses took good care of my brother after being airlifted from a bad accident. ICU is caring for him well now. It's not a beautiful place, but its clear they know what they're doing there, and that's comforting.
My Daughter admitted in February for a really bad infection. It was life threatening and if not for Harborview amazing Doctors and nurses in the ICU Ashe would not be here today. A big shout out to a nurse in ICU James ( can’t remember his last name) you’re her guardian angel thank you so much for your amazing work
To all the complainers about waiting for a room in the hall or ER: WHERE EXACTLY ARE WE SUPPOSED TO PUT YOU IF ALL THE BEDS ARE FULL??? REALIZE YOU HAVE TO WAIT YOUR TURN AND THOSE WHO NEED HELP THE MOST WILL BE HELPED FIRST REGARDLESS OF THE ORDER IN WHICH YOU ARRIVED. I do not see why this is so difficult to understand.
Thank you for saving my father's life! My father was involved in an accident with a Semi. The jaws of life were used to extract and he ended up in the ER at Harborview Medical then of course in the ICU stop kept me informed every step of the way I am forever thankful. This was back in March 29th when this happened you might remember.
I'm born and raised in Seattle, close to pill hill but had never ventured around Harborview MC and in the back facing the sound (obviously where it got it's name) is a beautiful park, clean and waiting for visitors to take a respite. Art, view, inspirational message and sorry (but not sorry) that I didn't get to witness a helicopter coming in, the pad is right there) just don't look down towards the freeway and endless garbage camps below.
