My Favorite Deli

On occasion, we travel to Seattle to visit the University medical center. We stay at the Collegiana. The first time we were here, many years ago, I was walking up the street, and the gentleman in My Favorite Deli gave me a big wave from across the street. In what is my custom to a friendly greeting, I went in, chatted, ordered breakfast sandwiches and coffee, and brought them back to our room. Though the management has since changed, on each of our visits to Seattle over the past four years, I have continued that tradition. Invariably, Zion and her staff are efficient, happy, and friendly. Invariably, the food is great, hot, with generous servings, and always tasty. Covid safe to boot. Update, November 1, 2023. New faces, no changes. A delightful place in which to feel welcome.

I love their grilled cheese sandwich but you got to make sure. That you? Tell them. Exactly it's sadly what you want because they will mess up every single time. They have bad athe tubes. The service is not all that great but the sandwiches are excellent. They used to serve a huge pickle with your sandwich but now they serve little tiny slices a pickle which really sucks so I always have to ask. 2 servings at pickles. Make sure to check your food to make sure you got exactly what you ordered

Excellent breakfast sandwiches that come with coffee included, just be mindful of your order because twice now, random cis-white dudes have taken my sandwich and jetted out the door because it was the same kind they apparently ordered and THEY sure as hell don't care that I put in my order before they did (cis-White dude stay cis-white dudeing) and unfortunately they dont take names at the counter, they just say the names of the finished item after they put it on the counter and move onto the next order.

Today was extra special as my tea bag tore and ruined my tea. My tea was special as I added protein, vitamins and miralax, lol... The young lady was so kind. She strained my tea for me going above and beyond the call of duty so I had to stop & recognize 'My favorite deli' today. I am always rushing and wven tho they were busy, she knew I drove the bus and helped me out in a pinch...Thank u!
