Had a great meal at Cortina last night. My husband had the pork chops, which were super juicy and well portioned. I had the pesto mushroom ravioli, which was also a decent size and incredibly flavorful. The little gem salad and fennel focaccia apps were wonderful too!
My husband and I were in town for our 5th wedding anniversary and made a last minute reservation for dinner. The staff surprised us with a champagne toast and a lovely little card on our table. It was a nice surprise after a long travel day from the east coast. Thanks for the warm welcome to Seattle!
What makes this place a gem is how its setting is designed. The tables are in close proximity of each other like everyone is sharing a family meal. The portion size is perfect for an individual or to share depending on how hungry you are. I was surprised by the Happy Hour portions as you won't go hungry. None of us ever ate here so it was great to be pleasantly surprised. Only downfall was parking.

STYLISH RESTAURANT, DELICIOUS FOOD
Amazing Italian restaurant by local star chef Ethan Stowell. Order the Creste di Gallo (braised rabbits, soffritto, pecorino Toscano, poppini) it's phenomenal! Great service in a stylish setting.
I'm finding that you just can't go wrong with any Ethan Stowell restaurant, and this one is no exception. Service from the moment I walked in the door was fantastic. The focaccia was most excellent, carrots cooked nicely, and mushroom pesto ravioli was tasty. I'm most impressed by the thoughtful combination of flavors in every dish, and how they work together to wow your taste buds. I'll repeat again how good the focaccia was, it's a must have appetizer!
Such a gorgeous spot! I hosted a work meeting for 10 on Monday and they read the notes on my reservation and attended to our every need! Between the small plates and drinks, this was a gorgeous spot to host our event. We will be back for sure!
Cortina is easily one of the best restaurants in all of Seattle. From it's waitstaff, to its bartenders, to its food. The atmosphere, while classy, allows for casual enjoyment, and the food and drink are just out of this world delicious. Easily our favorite restaurant of Seattle in such a convenient location downtown near the convention center. Easily walkable if you're in the convention area.
Walked in with friends without a reservation on a Tuesday night and were seated pretty quickly. To our surprise (lucky us) it was restaurant week and Cortina was participating. I had the steak tartare, sourdough (which was a little extra) the pasta dish (nice and spicy) and we shared dessert. Our friend picked a wine that was out of this world. All of that was only $60/person which for downtown Seattle isn't bad in my opinion. All in all it was a great experience for us. Thank you!
Very unique dishes and very good ambience although the place is on a little expensive side.
Visited this restaurant for a team lunch. I ordered potato gnocchi. It was truly delicious. The gnocchi was very fresh and soft. The squash sauce went very well with the gnocchi.
The service was very good as well. A colleague wanted pasta with no eggs and they were happy to switch it out with vegan pasta.
Overall, it was a great experience and would highly recommend this place.
Great experience at Cortina. I had the summer sangria. It was white but I would have preferred a red sangria but I didn’t ask before ordering. I also ordered an old fashioned.
My dish was a little heavy on the salt. I tried others and they were not the same. Not sure what went wrong.
I would come back. Service was great and so was the ambiance.
