Yummy Cafe

I love this place! They are clean, friendly, attentive, and have consistent, excellent, fresh food. They serve classic Chinese dishes and have the best customer service! Great price for the high quality, and they even deliver still. It is one of the last restaurants that still provides true service. This is a neighborhood gem that you want to last for decades.

Lived in the neighborhood for over a year but never tried this restaurant as I thought it was westernized Chinese food. Boy was I wrong. This is legit Cantonese food that is on par or better than what can be found in the ID (namely HK Bistro or A+ HK Kitchen). Ordered the salted fish and chicken fried rice as well as the beef chow mein. Fried rice was good but preference would be thinner slivers of chicken meat rather than large chunks, though the chicken was very tender. Wished there was also more salted fish. The chow mein was delicious and perfectly made. The noodles were so crispy. The beef was sooooo tender. The flavor was perfect. Definitely will be our new Friday night take out spot.

No elaborate decor, but the food was exceptional. The beef in the Mongolian Beef entree was perfectly cooked and tender, not chewy or tough like some places, and the flavor was great. I arrived right after the lunch specials ended at 3pm, so it was understandably empty. I doubt that was the sole reason the food was prepared so quickly and well though.

Lovely place with vibrant veggies, chewy noodles, and a meat filled potstickers appetizer that eats like a meal. It’s a quiet small space where the sounds of reverent gestation is punctuated by frequent exclamations of delight. The staff is attentive and brilliant but they truck in no foolishness. Yummy cafe is for serious people who seek yummy food.
