Awesome food and service. While it doesn't have a view of the marina, they do have big windows and a nice vibe.

True seafood restaurant with hits and misses. Loved the beer-batter onion rings! So fresh and flavorful. I loved the beignets but some at the table thought it needed powdered sugar. The fried fish was also good but more par for the course. The decor has all the charm of a bachelor-decorated warehouse. But the biggest miss was that they were out of clam chowder at lunch. How does that even happen?!

We've been coming down to Fishermans Terminal almost daily with my recently boat-obsessed 1.5 year old daughter. Normally we will grab something from the window at Chinook (which is...meh), we had no idea there was this little gem of a restaurant tucked around the corner! I'm sad we only discovered it today! First and foremost, for a pub, we were pleasantly surprised by how kid-friendly they are. The server immediately brought a high chair, crayons, and a clipboard with a picture of the terminal for her to color. She also brought our dog a water dish (thank you!). There is a kids menu and we ordered the cheeseburger and fries for our little one. Most restaurants that have a kids menu usually just serve smaller portions of the same "adult" food. This was not the case here. We tasted her food and it was actually prepared how we would prefer for our toddler, with less/no salt! Her burger was delicious and her fries were seasoned with some parmesan cheese. This makes eating out so much less stressful for us parents...when our toddler enjoys her meal, we get to enjoy ours as well. My husband ordered the Alaskan Cod and Chips. The fish was perfectly cooked, super moist inside and crispy on the outside. The fries, which are often overlooked, we're super crispy, and seasoned with salt, herbs and parmesan. I had the Tiger Prawn Po' Boy and the shrimp was also perfectly cooked, super juicy and crispy as well. The sandwich was so balanced and probably one of the best sandwiches I've had in a very long time. We will definitely be back, likely tomorrow if my daughter decides she wants to see boats again. 😅 We had a great experience.

Popped in after a visit to the Ballard Locks and this place was a great find. Stopped in for cold beer and hot seafood - delivered on both accounts! Personally, big kudos for the sour on tap and the fish and chips - they were some of the best I’ve had in the area. All of it was made better with outdoor seating and string lights with the ambience of the docks right around the corner. Overall, big fan if you’re nearby.

Consistent food, great service and nice views. Would like to see some NA beer options like Athletic, but otherwise excellent selection of drinks. Great spot for all kinds of groups. EDIT: They do have Athletic, just didn't see it on the beverage list. Ask you server. ;)

The food and service were excellent! We started with a few oyster shots, and the class. The butter chile flakes made for a delcious starter for our lunch party. Entrees were the calamari steak sandwich, grilled salmon sandwich, fish and chips, as well as a fish taco entree. The food was excellent, and the server was wonderful. She was limping, but never the less, she gave impeccable service. The view of the docks and fall colors upon the trees made for a lovely lunch. Make no mistake, The Highliner Public House will delight your party.

Really delicious food made fresh to order and arrived at our table in less than 10 minutes. We ordered the calamari steak sandwich and the steakhouse burger with a Beyond Meat patty and both were absolutely incredible. The calamari was thick, tender, moist, and perfectly fried. The steakhouse burger was stacked! (See picture.) The blue cheese that they used was a strong, high quality cheese. It was so good! The service was friendly, efficient, and quick. For those that drink, they offer a large variety of beers and ciders. And for those that don't drink alcohol, they actually have non-alcoholic beers. It's not listed on the menu so ask the server what NA beer is available if you are interested. We can't wait to go back.

Never had a bad meal here! Servers are always nice. The only thing I'd say is sometimes the food feels like it's been sitting for a while before served.

I feel I have to respond to the earlier tepid clam chowder review. I couldn't disagree more- honestly, some of the best I've ever had. It is not the thick white glue-y consistency many people are used to and expect from canned or Ivars (I know! sacrilege!) chowder. It is creamy but not so thick that it coats the tongue and impairs the taste of herbs. The pieces of clam are perfectly sized to be chewy and substantive but not so big that texture distracts from taste. A+ plan to come back just for chowder. And maybe the hummus plate - also delicious, with warm pita and huge amount of fresh crisp veggies and olives. One star off atmosphere just b/c you can't really see the harbor, but you do get a peekaboo view, and the restaurant itself is cozy and friendly- good for kids.

Hands down the best fish and chips I've ever had. Most fish just have their tasteless beer battered fish, but these guys SEASON it. It's almost a taco-like seasoning but it actually works great on fish. Usually the fries with any fish and chips are just there, but these fries also had the same seasoning. This place is right next to Chinooks (which is more popular) but Highliner is cheaper and better and it is a must try. (The tartar sauce and ranch is amazing)
