Macleod's is a bar with pub food right on Ballard Ave on the corner. Parking around here can be tough since it's such a busy area so be prepared to walk. They have dozens of tables inside, but on the main floor and upstairs as well as about a dozen tables outside. They have a small menu, but have a few more items during happy hour between 4pm-6pm. They're known for their whiskey and scotch collection, so get a flight if possible. Their food is OK, nothing mind blowing but I'd say a little on the pricey end foe the portion size you get. The staff is good too, friendly and quick with service.

First time in and I love it! Very cozy, my British friend says very good British style fish and chips (her family is actually highlands clan so her taste covers Scotland as well). Service was very friendly and attentive AND when we arrived with our friend with mobility issues they cleared (as in asked a regular patron to move, and he did) a table downstairs for us! The Scotch selection is mind-blowing and they even have an eye dropper for those who carefully measure their water. As a non-Brit, all I can say is the fish and chips are the best North of the Ship Canal by a long measure (and maybe south but I don't stray there as much). I fully intend to become a regular here.

The best Fish & Chips I have had since I have lived in the USA!! (I have been here 8 years and lived in 3 states) We came on a Friday night & they had a Bagpiper playing live which was great fun & created a really enjoyable environment.

Delicious Scottish Bar and Restaurant! Children aren't allowed in the main bar area but are allowed on the patio or in the back. Spacious inside. 250 types of scotch! We went for the salmon fish and chips which were amazing. The curry dipping sauce with the fish and chips is a must. And the clam chowder was an excellent starter. We will be back!

Dark, vibey, and excellent fish and chips, good range of Scotch flights, great cocktails. Downstairs is more traditional bar seating but don’t sleep on going upstairs, cool little corners for 5-6 person groups. 21+ so a nice adult vibe but no crazies.

The fish & chips were excellent, traditional beer battered and fresh tasting! We had cocktails and beer with our lunch seated at the bar. The building is almost 100 years old with cool front doors! There are lots of photos and artworks throughout the establishment and plenty of seating. They have a pretty extensive food menu with traditional Scottish bites, even Haggis !

Very lively place! And great staff!! Go here if you want some smooth Scottish whiskey! Our group tried their flights - Highland and a Tour of Scotland! Everyone loved it so much we ended up ordering more! I do wish that they add some vegetarian options to the menu, apart from chips(fries)!

The staff members here are always a pleasure. Servers are lively and chipper, kitchen staff seems to be singing and having fun and the bar tenders know what they are doing. Great place for a glass of scotch during a rainy night.

Love this place! I come at least once a month for their fish tacos. The spicy ancho sauce they serve with them is amazing. Super friendly, great outdoor and indoor space. Great whisky menu

The fish is cooked fantastically, soft flaky inside with an incredibly crunchy beer batter. There are non-alcoholic drink options, however they are prepared by just not adding in the alcoholic ingredients. A great spot for a whiskey and a quick bite to eat.
