Excellent Japanese - Hawaiian restaurant in the heart of charming Columbia City, a few minutes south of downtown Seattle. Extensive range of menu options, several of which are vegan-friendly, including the cold soba noodles, vegetable tempura, chili tofu, and a few sushi items. Service is friendly, attentive and prompt. Very much enjoyed the atmosphere and the dishes I tried. Definitely recommend.
On our trip to Seattle, we got hungry for sushi. Randomly choosing this place was not a mistake. Go here, you’ll be happy.
Great food, fast and friendly service. Really loved this place. The waitress,xi don't recall her name, did an excellent job serving us. Others that worked in the restaurant also helped take care of us. We felt very taken care of! The only thing I can recommend is that the floor be cleaned better and have more attention. My shoes were sticking to the floor as I walked to my raffle and upon or exit.
Such a great neighborhood spot for some quality sushi and conversation. The staff are very attentive and welcoming. The anaconda roll and salmon tartar should not be missed.
The staff and food are the real standout here. I love unagi rolls, and these were perfection. Everything that came was amazing. I highly recommend this place
Surprised to see the one star reviews. Our meal was wonderful. Hudson roll was amazing and nigiris are really fresh! Fried chicken was well done, there is room for improvement for the sauce but it is still a good dish. Pricing compare to other places is much more affordable as well.
Tasty, fresh sushi. Great service and the restaurant looks really nice. It's reasonably priced. Happy to have it in our neighborhood!
It’s a great restaurant, the food is so delicious and fresh, we love it so much. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We will be back again.
For a neighborhood sushi place this one really impresses me! (I’m reviewing solely based on nigiri and sashimi as I don’t eat American sushi rolls).
Show up early (5-6pm) so you can get the best and freshest fish available. It also gets crazy crowded here - another reason I show up early. I would also encourage folks to sit at the bar for the best service too. I always start by asking the chef was is recommended for the day and stick to that.
Seared salmon belly is typically knock-your-socks-off good, hamachi jalapeño is great, and occasionally blue fin tuna belly, hamachi belly, and ono can be available too.
I would avoid anything harder to procure like uni, tako, etc etc. But whatever is chef recommends is usually great.
This is our favorite sushi place! Excellent service, nice ambiance, and great, fresh fish. For anyone who likes nigiri and sashimi, the Osaka bento box is amazing. Good gyoza and specialty rolls too!
Edit: Continues to be excellent every time we go! I love their sashimi so much, they give big slabs of smooth fresh fish. And always great service. Our favorite sushi in Seattle!
In town for a bit to visit friends and family, we live in Vegas, so of course wanted fresh delicious Sushi! This was absolutely delicious! Our friends go here on the regular and I can see why! If we are ever back in town will definitely seek this place out again!
Food was delicious, excellent sashimi, rolls, hamachi. Service was the highlight, with our server being friendly and engaging and making the evening special. We are planning on coming back here.
