Reviews of Sinbad Express

Ordered the chicken Gyro pita and the lamb/beef gyro plate. Both were tasty and flavourful, but didn’t have much meat in either. The meal is relatively decently priced, but okay value with how much protein you get. The Chicken Gyro was a little dry, but well spiced — the tzatziki was not evenly distributed and pooped heavily at the bottom instead of being a part of the whole sandwich. Everything tasted good but was a little off from what I’d rate 5 stars. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available, but parking in the area is only street parking and usually very busy. The ordering and food prep process was quick. They have dessert available too, but it is a limited number of round baklava pieces. Very casual atmosphere and good as take out. Overall, good lunch stop!

Ok this place can be misleading based on ambience. You may also get strange vibes when you see a lonely one man staff with no signs of busy kitchen. But within 10 minutes it produced pretty good food for two. The shawarma salad and the shawarma super plate were great, and so were the greek fries. I did not see any issues with the freshness of the salad or attitude as other reviewers describe. I see no reason not to give 5 stars based on our experience and the quality of food (what we tried). But few comments, when presented with the iPad to pay, the tips percentages start at 20%, 25% and 30%. When did we moved up from the 15-18-20? There is no even table waiting - you order and pickup at counter. The baklava had good texture, but it had some interesting aftertaste (for my liking).

Went there today, during one of the busiest days in USA, the thanksgiving. The places around the areas were closed, and this restaurant was the only one open. We ordered a wrap and a platter. Let me tell you, those flavours… they’re out of this world! It was incredible! I had a chicken and lamb mix kebab on the most fragrant aromatic rice I’ve ever had, with fresh crisp and zesty lemon dressed salad and a wonderfully smooth humus. The food was simply delicious! We actually was going to visit another restaurant near by but once we got there, it was closed, so we walked up and saw that Symbad was open and we decided to order. Glad we did! The restaurant has several tables with chairs placed outside, which was perfect as we had our dog with us, so we ate in the warmth of sunshine, outside. But if you prefer, you can also eat inside the restaurant, they have tables and chair there too. For a short visit to Seattle, this was definitely a wonderful discovery for a last minute lunch!

Sinbad Express is a gem in Fremont! I was thoroughly impressed by the amazing flavors of their shawarmas, the perfect consistency and taste of their hummus, and the baklava that's just as it should be. The owner's warmth and accommodating nature add a personal touch to the experience, making you feel right at home. Plus, the location is ideal, especially for those looking to grab a quick, affordable, authentic bite during lunch breaks or when you're out with friends at night. It's a must-visit spot for delicious Mediterranean cuisine.

Hungry after a visit to the golden gardens this place was one of the very few places open on thanksgiving. But it was sooooo good. The Greek fries one could not stop eating. Crunchy with the right amount of garlic sauce and crumbled feta. The platters were great! The only guy cooking and taking the orders was super friendly! Would come back for sure next time we are here! 😊

I'll admit, I was hesitant after reading some of the lower reviews. But forget about it. This place is the real deal and worth it. Starving, I'd ordered to much food. Happily, I ate it all. And wish I had room to try everything. Perfect seasoning, fresh, clean, wonderful, authentic. The Turkish coffee is absolutely perfect. The man behind the counter is top notch, kind, friendly and attentive to your needs! (Thanks for the bonus pita, you made our day, My Friend)

My friend and I stopped in here for a quick lunch and the gyros and rice were great! Quick and cheap. Atmosphere is so so but I love a good outside seating area and the tiles are really cool. Not a lot of parking areas but there’s a paid parking lot across the street on the back side of the restaurant.

Very good surprise! The restaurant is located right behind the Lenin Statue on Fremont, prices are very good and so is the food. We were a group of three people, a friend and I got the kabob plates and really liked our choices; our other friend got the gyros and also was very satisfied with it. Service was good and the food was very fresh and well seasoned. Hummus was very tasty and went well with the bread provided. I will definitely return!
