Reviews of Henry's Taiwan Plus

*June 2021 No dine-in, take-out only* Probably one of the top 3 stinky tofu I've had in Seattle. The stinky tofu had a nice fermented taste/smell (if that's what you are looking for), and the kimchi on the side is not as fermented as Korea kimchi, but still had a nice crunch and kick to it. I'd recommend the stinky tofu. And I'll be back to try so more dishes when dine-in is open.

Idk how authentic it is, but there is almost no beef in the beef noodle soup and IMO it’s too spicy. Of the beef there is, most of it’s fat and tendon. Beef noodle soup is meant to be slightly spicy. Also got 3 cup chicken which also seemed a bit off for 3 cup chicken. The meat had way too much skin and bone. Bone is expected but not this much. It seems they just give you the bad cheap bits of meat. I wonder where all the good parts of the meat go.

Traveling through and was craving Taiwanese food.. Really good stinky tofu! So good that we ordered it twice because this is one of the only places we could find it! The beef noodle soup was exceptionally earthy with the perfect amount of spices and rich broth. My family is from Taiwan and this restaurant really brought in the nostalgia of childhood comfort foods. If we find ourselves in Seattle again, we'll be there! Also, the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. We ordered 5 dishes between the two of us and left there extremely happy!

Food came out really fast. Pretty cozy small restaurant. A cute gem. Not sure why we never go here for the past 5 years. Ordered small beef noddle soup. The broth seems like it has packaged ramen taste in it but the rice dishes with fish fillet and pork chops were excellent. Crispy and tender. Yummy sides to go with the meat. Recommend the rice dishes here! Will come back.

1) pork dumplings- I didn’t really like them because of the sour taste...the texture of the dumpling wrap was alright and it was somewhat juicy inside. 2) Chef’s special beef noodle soup- didn’t like it at all. Very spicy after taste that bothered my throat even though we asked for medium spicy. What really threw me off was the sour taste in the soup. I am from Taiwan, and I do like to add pickled cabbage in the beef noodle soup but the vinegary taste was just weird and didn’t taste authentic to me. The noodles were over cooked too. Won’t order again. 3) stir fried hand cut noodles with chicken- my favorite dish so far. The texture was great and it was very flavorful!! I’d definitely go back for this dish!!

The last restaurant to dine before departing from Seattle. The location is perfect, within walking distance from where we stayed. We love the taiwanese flavor as it is lighter and less oily than typical chinese restaurant. We tried the stir-fru pork with chinese cabbage (the cabbage is so crunchy), we tried the fried tofu (love it as it reminded me of my hometown), and we love the dessert C Guo-100 which located next door. C Guo-100 offers taiwanese desserts. We love most things there especially ones with fruit. Bravo

Awesome food! Fresh and delicious! We had the soy cooked eggs to start, which were served with a hot sauce that was good as well as tastey. Then the hot and sour soup came. Wonderfully fresh tasting and original. For the main course, we had three chicken (finger licking good), sticky rice (earthy yumminess), and pan fried hand shaved noodles (thick and garlicly good). Overall, we would come back any time we are in the area and drag friends here.

Pretty good. After a horrific ordeal with a place in West Seattle my date and myself were wandering the ID looking for something new to try. We just happen to wander into Henry's Taiwan Plus..<br/><br/>This is definitely not a hole in the wall in fact quite the opposite. Very warm and inviting. The waitress working this night was very nice and extremely busy. The house shaved noodles had lots of flavor. Overall everything was pretty good.

A few small plates and dim sum items (like the delicious beef bing) are carryovers from the older location, but here are new dishes in a new setting-including a few upscale plates, like miso-glazed black cod and honey mustard lamb chops. The dining room is a little larger than at the first Henry's, with some Chinese antiques adding fine finishing touches. I tried the "Plain Noodle Soup," which is easy to overlook. The Chinese characters tell a different story, translating to sun spring noodle soup, something most Taiwanese people will recognize.
