Awesome food good quality and texture...service was great. The setting is small but ascetically pleasing. I ate the noodles and shrimp and it was perfect...Sushi was good...I'm from the Midwest so anything along the coast is going to be great.

Perhaps I'm a sushi snob? I guess living in California has made me that way, as I have access to quality, fresh, flavorful and beautiful sushi within walking distance on any given day of the week. Then again, AOKI, perhaps it just wasn't your day when I stopped by for dinner. Ambiance: good, clean, quaint; lots of Japanese propaganda on the walls for art pieces. As for the sushi: I hate to say it, but I was less than impressed (though not repulsed). Hell, I was hungry, damnit! So of course I licked my plate clean, but out of satisfying the need of sheer primal hunger. The stuff wasnt precisely cut or prestinely plated, but I did enjoy the Unagi roll. Not sure I'd come here again, though.

Good, cheap. Fresh fish, small menu pretty much explains the place. Nothing special, but if you're on the hill and need a quick sushi fix Aoki won't disappoint. They're also a Hanjin Tigers spot, if that's your Japanese baseball team.

Decent Rolls. Not the best sushi is Seattle, but decent for what you can get in Cap Hill.

Quite nicely decorated restaurant with reasonably priced meal options. Staff were attentive and courteous. Miso soup was a bit saltier than should have been but with good flavor and portion. The rest of the orders were good, with larger portions in general than typical. I would suggest using a slightly higher oil temperature for the fried food to make it crisper and less oily. Good value and pleasant experience!

Excellent little place that has one of my favorite Maki Rolls, Dragon, a Tempura Shrimp Roll topped with Unagi. Highly recommended.

My favorite sushi joint with many options. One of the best spider rolls in town and all the sushi we've had tasted so fresh and delicious. Price is pretty reasonable and I've been going here for the last 20 years and I'm never disappointed.

Great fresh shrimp and vegetable tempura and lovely fresh seaweed salad. Spider roll was good but rolled a bit too big so it fell apart easily. Everything tasted fresh and was well done. Will definitely go back again and bring the family

I had the seared salmon belly and albacore belly nagiri, Kimono Maki, and Spider Maki. The albacore belly nagiri and the spider Maki were made very well. The albacore belly was fresh and super soft to chew. The spider Maki had the crab fried great and the whole roll doesn't get beat out by any other spider rolls I've had. For the kimono, i think the jalapeno takes away from the flavor of the whole roll and I just took them out. No fault of the restaurant or chefs, just not my cup of tea. Without the pepper, the roll was delicious. The salmon belly was by far my favorite. The sear from a torch was enough to give a smoky flavor and melt the fat in the meat. I wish I just got more of this instead and reduce my other orders. On a note of the restaurant, the staff was nice and the ambiance was good. However I had to wear my jacket the entire time since the AC was going full blast in the back room. Don't know if this is intentional or not, but i would be worried if I ordered more hot items since they would cool down really quickly.

Very warm and authentic vibe, food was great for the price, great experience except the servers stood too close waiting for us to be ready to order & they gave us our coke in a can. But deserves 4 stars.

Delicious sashimi, kimono and caterpillar rolls! We wanted sushi that does not contain mayonnaise to taste the authentic flavors of Japan and was able to find it here. Very tasty and the presentation is lovely. The waiter was also very nice to us.
