Slim's is an incredibly special place. The food is SO good (I think their bacon cheeseburger is the best in Seattle, and the chili is amazing!), the staff are the best, and the owners Celeste and Mike obviously treat everyone who works with them like family. We've attended (or been part of) dozens of shows there, and have been to several weddings, memorial services, and birthday parties there, so it's clear that Slim's is a special place to many! The shows during the summer outside are always extra fun, and the sound is A+ thanks to beloved sound man Jim Anderson. Slim's is hands down my favorite place in town, and if i could give them 100 stars instead of just 5, i would!
The best Chili, great owners and staff, great place to play and watch music - either inside or out on the flatbed when weather permits!
Very good, Chili. The best I have ever had. I always stop by when I can to get a bowl of Texas Red over Mac & Cheese with the works (Onions, Cheese, Sour Cream, Diced Tomatoes, and Crackers).
Super divey and great vibes and wonderfully staff. Recommend the brisket chili on a dog!
Really fun bar in SoDo. Loved the live music, the drinks, and the service. The chili wasn't amazing but the kitchen was also closed, will try again in the future. Great place to hang away from downtown.
Slims is a lovable dive, decent local beers, chill patrons, good live blue's jazz Ska bands. I didn't try the food but it looked OK on other tables.
This was the first time we've been back since everyone was in quarantine, and we had a Great time! Employees were masked up & making sure everyone was safe. The outdoor stage and tables are such a great solution to these crazy times we live in! Thank you for bringing live music back into our lives this way!
I can't get enough of Slim's Texas red chili! I'm a longtime explorer of chili parlours, and here is the perfect mix of awesome staff, rustic ambiance, and yummy feeds.
I particularly enjoy getting a bowl with "the works" -- add sour cream, chive, cheddar, tomato, and onion! Excellent presentation with a mild and flavorful heat to it.
Currently, they have great outdoor covered but nicely ventilated patio with heaters. Everyone was mindful of 😷 and hygiene... 💯‼️
Best place to see a live band! The sound man is absolutely incredible! Best sound man in Seattle. Great food. Recommend the chili. Excellent staff with an incredible atmosphere. Highly recommend!
I really loved the chili here! It's some of the best I've had in a while. And the wings are smoked and then fried!
Fun place for burger and beer! Too bad it was cold and the outdoor patio wasnt open. There is a stage for live music too.
The 1/2 lb burger is nicely done. The fries were well seasoned and yummy. Chile Verde was awesome, but a little mild for a 'native Texan'!! Frito Pie with TX Red Chili, again mild but good flavor. All entres were ample portions and fairly priced.
I really liked this place. The service was perfect. It was comfortable and fun. Live music was great! I would like to check out the outdoor area when the weather is nice!
