The experience was great!! Wonderful food, great staff, wonderful atmosphere, and AMAZING cocktails made to your taste. The staff were playing music that didn't quite fit the venues vibe, and they unfortunately gave away a bit of the experience we'd made a reservation specifically for... They were just a touch too helpful. Long term I'd definitely bring more friends for special occasions!

One of our favorite places to grab custom cocktails made to match you pallet. Attention to detail is an understatement and it never disappoint. Whether it's for a special occasion or not, this is and has been a place to go. Always amazing service.

We had the absolute best server tonight! Didn't get her name unfortunately, but she was fun, helpful, and attentive. We didn't get any food, only drinks, however I highly recommend Tavern Law. Great atmosphere, wonderful drinks and exceptional service!!!

We went to Needle & Thread, their speakeasy upstairs. Definitely worth taking the time to make. Two hour time limit is fine - plenty of time to have one or two cocktails and a few bites. Bartender was great to take the time and get our likes and dislikes and each cocktail was delicious and one of a kind!

Went here for the Needle & Thread, and it was an awesome experience! Be sure to make reservations beforehand, and you would discover a wonderful bar behind the phone 📞 This speakeasy bar does not have a menu, just let the bartender know what you want. The penicillin here is super good, probably one of the best I ever had! The Islay whiskey flavor is strong, while it’s smooth to drink in with ginger and spice aroma. The Alexander is also a great dessert cocktail, not too sweet but with creamy touch. The fried chicken is also pretty good with great portion, a wonderful companion with the drinks! Although the cocktails here are $19 pre-tax, the quality worths the price for sure! A definitely recommended bar and probably one of the best bars I love in Seattle :)

The ambiance here can’t be beat. It’s an old-money library theme and it’s very comfortable inside. But as nice as it is the lighting is bad so any photo we took looked awful. The service and drinks were both good but I suspect the waitress was on coke. So mixed feelings about that. Needle & Thread: We later got a reservation for the speakeasy upstairs which was okay. The ambiance isn’t as nice up there, the aesthetic is kind of all over the place. The bar height chairs are trash as far as quality and comfort, so we asked to be moved. I think whoever gets there first should get to those their seat, personally. It took over half an hour to get our first drink and when you make the reservation that’s clear it’s only for an hour. We were able to get a second round of drinks though, I think because we went right at opening the timing was a bit more flexible. The waiter takes down your preferences for drinks and flavors and they come up with something creative for you. I got a very unusual drink full of flavors I don’t like and honestly they made it work. The second drink was better but my fiancés drinks were better each time. I don’t know if I’d go back, but I’m glad I tried it. I personally preferred downstairs to the speakeasy vibe.

Great cocktail bar with an interesting list of drinks. Walked in one hour before they close (mid night) on a Sat night they were able to seat us at the bar. The Ube drink with boba tasted funny.

Whether you're just going to Tavern Law or make it up to Needle & Thread, you'll be well taken care of. The service here is standout, but the drinks and food are not far behind.

this review is for Needle & Thread, the hidden cocktail bar in back. I research and make a new cocktail at home every week and go out to cocktail bars often, including a recent visit to Death & Company in NYC. the two cocktails I had here were hands down the most creative, complex, and satisfying I've ever come across. I suggest to go with the format...they ask your mood for flavor and base spirit, then custom-create awesomeness. the food was excellent with perfect portions. to the clandestine entrance... you walk into Tavern Law, pick up a black rotary phone a few steps into the restaurant to the right, give them your reservation name, and they buzz you into an industrial strength vault door. now we know it's no longer prohibition, but uhhhhh still sets the mood for mischief.

Tavern Law has an incredible drink selection, kind staff, and a fun environment, allowing patrons to time travel to the prohibition era. If you're lucky enough to get a reservation to their upstairs speak-easy, you'll even get a handcrafted cocktail that's unique to your drink preferences.

Went for a private event. The food was fantastic. The creativity of the bartenders was unsurpassed. I asked for a drink resembling spicy panang curry. It was a fantastic drink full of amazing ingredients that I would have never considered. It was a fun evening. The whole team worked together flawlessly. You have to stop by when in Seattle.

We booked a spot for the hidden speakeasy Needle and Thread in the back. The bartender chatted with us for a little while to get to know us and our flavor profiles before putting together unique cocktails specific to our tastes. And I must say, they did not miss. The first one was slightly better and more accurate than the second but both drinks I got, were something I would like to have again. Great vibes in the room, quiet, good ambience, were able to maintain conversation without having to yell.

Excellent cocktails and atmosphere. We felt rushed to finish up and pay our bill, which wasn’t great, but other than that a solid spot.

We went to the Speakeasy upstairs called Needle & Thread. Our mixologist Kelly was AMAZING! He asked questions about flavor profiles and crafted unique cocktails for us based on our answers. The food is fine dining portions and prices so eat before hand if you want to help your wallet! That being said the food was delicious. You have to reserve your table if you want to do the speakeasy.

We went to Needle and Thread inside Tavern Law and now no other craft cocktail will ever measure up! If I could give 10 stars I would!!! The personalization through conversation with the server was awesome. The food was outstanding! We had the charcuterie, cracklings, and the salmon crostini. We will definitely be back to Needle and Thread!
