I really love suika for their uniquely flavored sushi, their creamy Uni Udon, and honestly everything else on the menu. While the portion sizes are small, the food is amazing. Go there for the Happy Hour!

This place has amazing food! Our favorite was the tuna appetizer. The pressed sushi was also very good. The udon dish was almost like Mac and cheese. The cocktails were all amazing as well. The atmosphere and servers made it warm and inviting as well.

Great izakaya selection that is beyond the typical japanese American style. Lots of choices for Karaage (chicken, octopus,etc..) as well as batera style rolls (they're actually square rolls)

Went there for dinner before going to the Paramount. Good service. Loved the Smoked Tuna Tataki and Moscow mule with house gingerbeer. Delicious. We'll be back for sure

We've been looking for a go-to izakaya since moving here and, until further notice, Suika is it! There wasn't a single dish that was bad and several dishes were just plain awesome. The uni shooters and kakuni bibimbap were nothing short of delicious and the potato mochi special that night was quite a treat. Definitely going to think of this place first the next time I've got that late night craving.

Very impressive Japanese fusion restaurant. Energetic vibe with extensive choices of cocktails and seasonal menu of food. The ox tail ramen was really good - meat was cooked to tender, broth was flavorful and the noodle was done just right. Another must get is the uni cream udon. We also got the grilled mackerel and hamachi but was a bit disappointed. But it was still a pleasant experience

I've been to this place twice, and of my experiences here, I'd say it's average. The pros and cons balance each other out, and I'll list both below.
Pros:
Food is unique and creative, and so much fun to look at and experience. The staff are all stellar. The interior looks cool, almost like an underground bar vibe.
Cons:
While unique, the food doesn't taste spectacular. If anything, I'd say it was either bland or heavy (depending on what you order). It is super loud in there. It's not just people talking, but the music. You have to shout, the servers can't even hear you, and my ears and head hurt after.
For other things, I'd say the price is average. Some items are high, but they deserve to be (for the ingredients). And to be honest, I liked this place enough to come again. So I'd recommend it to try at least once. Try to go for a fresh item + a cooked item to balance out the flavors.

Best Japanese fusion that we have had in the Seattle area. The most delicious and smoothest Uni udon that we have ever tasted. A beautiful work of art! Wonderfully seasoned and balanced QQ Mapo Rice Cakes! Perfectly cooked Soft Shell Crab. Excellent cocktails. Friendly and attentive service. The special dish Yaki-Meshi was such a great mix! Will definitely return.

Stopped by Suika a few times with friends on a whim (we were super lucky and managed be seated without a reservation), and we loved the experience. We split a few plates between the 3 of us: chicken karaage, grilled octopus, seafood ramen, wings, and we were decently full afterwards. I could have done without the seafood ramen - I liked the creaminess and flavor of the broth but the uni was far too bitter for me. The octopus and chicken karaage were really the highlights for me - both were super flavorful and juicy, I'd highly recommend! On another visit I tried their sashimi salad and hellz ramen, both were decent, and very filling.

I’ve been here three times. The food was good but there weren’t a lot of choices. They have pressed sushi roll and it feels like just regular rolls. The food was decent with the cost.
The uni shooter was like a tiny bowl of uni roe bowl since they have rice underneath the uni. You can’t really shoot that into your mouth like a drink.
They have special watermelon cocktail drink where you drink directly out of a small watermelon. It’s pretty cool but cost $27 per drink.
This is a small little place and it’s always packed. Making reservations is recommended before going.
