Wanted a place to have a long and relaxed dinner. This was definitely the spot. Waiters were helpful and attentive but the food came out really slowly.
The backyard was cozy but the bathroom end could use a little sprucing.
The food itself was fine, didn’t love the the specials didn’t have a price (ended up ~30 for each dish). The menu felt fairly dated and made the specials feel less.. special.
Had the calamari appetizer. Really liked it, it was peppery and fresh. The lamb dish was okay. The paella was delicious and had ample seafood.
Would go back more for the ambiance than the food.
This is the sweetest local restaurant. They have personable staff and authentic but not pretentious Italian food. I love that it feels comfortable to go in jeans or dress up a bit. One of our absolute favorite date spots. Also, the portions and prices are very reasonable. We will definitely continue to come back here ❤️
I loved the food it was fantastic. The workers there are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. The chef gave us a free dessert too. The food also came out very fast. The chef also gave us a complimentary
salad while we waited plus the bread with an amazing dipping sauce. I hope you guys like this restaurant as much as me and my family did.
We stopped by late one night at 9 PM, just an hour before closing, and were graciously taken care of by the chef/owner. We ordered the gnocchi (it usually comes with chicken, but he happily subbed vegetables when I asked for no chicken) and Penne Salmon.
Not only were the dishes delicious, but we liked it so much we went for dinner again two days later. This time, we got the Tortellini Siciliana, lobster ravioli, and cannoli for dessert. It was amazing once again!
I love this place. The atmosphere is calm but welcoming and the servers are so nice. The food takes a little while to come out but the wait is worth it. The textures and flavors you experience are amazing and the chef is extremely kind. One of my favorite places in Seattle by far.
Delicious food! My favorite thing to have here is the chicken Marsala and the mushroom soup. I’ve had a lot of the specials as well and they are all fantastic. The menu truly is a pan Mediterranean. Italian, French, Spanish, Greek, and North African. Delicious! This place is a real hidden gem. Abe is a wonderful chef, host and has become a great friend over the years!
This quiet, unassuming restaurant is truly a diamond among rocks. The food is genuine, scrumptious, and fully and lovingly made by hand and it shows. The portions are fantastic. We got the lobster ravioli and the ribeye for our mains, and WOW. The sauce with the steak was perfectly complimentary, not overpowering and adding to the depths of flavor. The steal itself was soft and juicy, with a delicate sear. It also came with some delicious penne and greens. The ravioli was rich and the sauce was creamy and succulent. The lobster was delicate, the ravioli itself was perfectly chewy and soft, the dough obviously handmade.
The waiter was very helpful and attentive, consistently making sure we were enjoying ourselves. The chef himself came out after our meal and checked on us, and was personable and knowledgeable in discussing the plates.
My only complaint was not having more room for more food, and this restaurant not being closer to my hometown. I will gladly come here again, and tell others of it as well.
Had a wonderful time at Zouave tonight in Ravenna for a team appreciation dinner. Rave reviews from my co-workers. This place is so great and was my first time there. It was only staffed by the server and the owner who was the chef who came to our table at the end to introduce himself and chat with guests. It was a slow, relaxed evening over a couple hours (just like Italy). I had the duck and mushroom risotto which was freaking amazing and a nice poached pear for dessert. I had a bite of someone's Tiramisu and it was just drenched which is my favorite way. No crunch detected. To be honest we had five appetizers at the table, three bottles of wine, everyone had entrees and several people had salad or dessert and we got out of there for under $65 a head. Not bad for a company outing in a cozy atmosphere!
This place is excellent! We came on a Friday evening as the main dinner service was winding down and were sat immediately. The waiter was incredibly kind and attentive. The menu was full of options, and it was hard to choose. The prices are really really reasonable, and the food was SPECTACULAR! The chef even came around to the tables to make sure we were enjoying it. I loved this place.
The best mushroom soup I’ve ever ever had. It’s sweet and savory. The chef Abe shared the recipe with us. There’s no sugar in the soup but it was delightful. He said he sauté mushroom with red wine with marinara so it’s sweet bc wine is sweet. Then cream and if you add more variety of mushroom, it’s like wine, the more the better. I love this place. Long live Abe
