The atmosphere is inviting, warm and colorful. It's nice to hear people laughing, enjoying themselves and eating on good food. The chef/owner and his crew is amazing when it comes to customer service. This is what you get when you have owners who grew up and are apart of the community. Absolutely amazing. Will stop by again.

Jerk Shack in Cap Hill is more than just a restaurant; it’s a flavor expedition that took me by surprise. The jerk chicken (fried) and jerk ribs plates, accompanied by the beans and greens, were a burst of savory ecstasy. Notably, the black beans reached a level of perfection I didn’t know existed, and the greens? Unbelievable. 👩🍳 😘 🤌🫶
Let’s talk about the plantains – my absolute favorite in all of WA. They nailed it. AND when I accidentally spilled my plate, the SUPER awesome dude’s response was not just helpful; it was a testament to their exceptional service. No judgment, just genuine assistance. I wish I got his name. He was a taekwondo master! -actually! 🥳
To top it all off, they sent us home with FREE MAC AND CHEESE. Seriously, who does that? Jerk Shack does. The intriguing blend of flavors, combined with the unexpected delights, makes this place stand out. It’s not just charming; it’s a fascinating culinary experience that keeps you coming back for more.

I’ve been wanting to try Jerk Shack since I first started seeing the glowing reviews. It certainly lives up to the hype. Made-to-order, so not especially quick. But it’s well worth the wait. The employees are very friendly, and the outdoor courtyard space is perfect for kids to run around before and after your meal. Definitely on the pricy side, but portions are large.

Sooo freaking good! Love the ambiance with the local art for sale and the open kitchen. The place felt open and comfortable and from the smells I knew it was going to be amazing. The staff were so welcoming too. I had the jerk chicken burrito, jerk fries, and a specialty drink.

Awesome food and the clean artistic feel and history rich ambiance of the location is amazing! The food is authentic in approach jerked chicken should be grilled and flavorful and spicy. The food didn't disappoint and I fact was flavor filled and each component complimented the other. The flavors were rich and were harmony on a plate together!

I’ve visited the Belltown location several times but I’m excited to finally see the new location in CD. The space is gorgeous and the service is amazing per usual. I ordered the grill fish platter and baby let me tell you what…..nom nom nom!

The chicken plate was very generously portioned. The chicken was very tender and juicy and Fresh. They add almost no salt to their food so it’s not that flavorful. Ask for extra salt on the side. PRO TIP: request extra garlic sauce (unfortunately that sauce is the only hit of acid in the whole dish). You’ll thank me later.

What an awesome, delicious, and educational experience. The bartender explained the alcoholic beverage. Our waitress and other waiters were very well attentive to all guests. The flavors were remarkable ! The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing. Something about a place to hold your bag while at the bar was also pretty nice and convenient place for tourist or any sort of bag.

The balance of spice is near perfection! Everything is packed with flavor! Rich, spicy, savory, sweet, it hits them all. While the chicken is a staple, a must try is the ribs, they will not disappoint!
The bartender Nick is a true person of craft! The cocktails were top notch and specially curated! An amazing business and amazing staff! A must try when in Belltown.

Edit: March 2021. Came back. Still delicious. Got the boneless jerk chicken and left a happy customer.
Absolutely amazing place to go. Definitely recommend this place if you are visiting like I was. Impeccable service. Great vibes. Stellar food that makes your taste buds sing. Portions were pretty good size for what you pay.
Next time I go to Seattle, I am making sure I come back here.
