Whenever I’m near the Georgetown community near meal time Smarty Pants is always a good option. Every menu item I’ve tried has been delicious. And I always find a beer that I like to wash it down. The bonus is the motorcycle racing videos.
Staff is great -- prompt and friendly. The food is really good -- I especially like the weekend brunch menu. Corned beef hash was awesome. Great bloody Mary.
Great vibe...good food and beer! BRAVO! Great vibe...good food and beer! BRAVO! Great vibe...good food and beer! BRAVO! Great vibe...good food and beer! BRAVO!
The food was great and the decor definitely makes you feel like your in an old style bike shop.
I love all the bartenders at Smarty Pants! Great place to schmooze, lovely patio when the weather is permits. Generous drinks & great reading in the bathroom!
A little pricey, but still good food and drinks. The bartender was very friendly and sweet.
I’ve been coming here for years. Love the people, drinks, food, and all around atmosphere here. I was in for drinks twice on Saturday. Solid
This is the coolest motorcycle friendly bar in Seattle.
The best food, the best bloody's, the best service hands down! Seattle's diamond in the rough!

Awesome food and service! We usually eat out for breakfast on Sundays and Smarty Pants is definitely one of my favorite places now!
This restaurant has a lively vibe to it. It was nearly packed with brunch-goers when I got there. I appreciated Brandi clarifying that I could still order lunch during brunch hours, they were friendly. I had the Chicago Italian Beef sandwich with a scratch-made potato salad and a sliced crisp kosher dill pickle. It was a great combo, slightly spicy, vinegary and all-around savory. You do not want to sleep on this place. Thanks, chefs!
My friend and I went here on a Sunday for brunch, and we sat outside. The food here was really good. The server was nice. I had the trouble maker pileup, and my friend had the chilaquiles verde. The food took a while to come out, but it was good. We also had the Belfast coffee. The drinks here are strong and tasted good. I'll definitely come back with more friends.

I had a lunch meeting here and was pleasantly surprised as to how good the food was. The sandwich was awesome and packed.
Service was also good and even though it's not a pretty place, I would definitely go back again. Apparently this restaurant has been around for decades, so it's a pretty well-known spot.
My first visit to Smarty Pants was a quick lunch take-out on a chilly winter Sunday. They were busy but not crowded, and nobody was on the patio due to the windy weather. The menu had a lot of options but the only thing on my mind was an Italian sub. It was ready in under 10 minutes and I was on my way.
Once I dug in, it was excellent! One of those sandwiches when you want to take a break and savor it, but you just can't put it down. The side of salsa (for the chips) was a nice touch and had a good kick. If I was in the area again I'd definitely stop in for a sit-down lunch on the patio and try one the tasty-looking cocktails I saw the bartender crafting. Usual COVID rules apply masks mandatory unless seated.

Loved this place! Small and inviting with a cool vintage motorcycle theme. My friends and I finally gave up on the nearby Hangar Cafe after an hour wait and stumbled into this great little gem right around the corner. No wait, great service, excellent breakfast dishes and decent beers with creative cocktail options. If I could criticize anything, it would be that the on-tap beer selection is rather limited and most of the beers were on the lighter side. Could definitely benefit from a little more variety and some more interesting drafts. Nonetheless, if you're fed up with the pretentious, overcrowded eateries around this area and desire tasty food and friendly service with a touch of rock attitude (and music), Smarty Pants is worth a stop. I'll definitely be back!
Food was delicious and the drinks were strong. Plenty of parking on the other side of the street. If you are in a hurry as in stopping by for a quick lunch then expect to wait a bit or get it to go.
Great outdoor seating area and friendly service - we went there on memorial day, it was pretty quiet. Food was good. We shared french dip with potato salad and Road Runner (green salad with grilled chicken) and we both liked and enjoyed.
The vibe grabbed me the moment I walked in and heard Drowning Pool playing in the background. There’s a drink special called “Jesus Built My Hot Rod” and a regular menu item called “Huevos Panteros.” A glorious sign at the door said in four colors that absolutely no one under 21 is allowed. The bar was stacked almost to the ceiling with brown liquor. It was only 9:15 AM and this was exactly my kind of place. (See photos)
The staff was super nice and laid back, and our server was there within a minute of us walking in. We just sat down wherever and we got coffee almost instantly. My husband LOVED the microcycle décor so much so he was muttering about getting another one again. It was not overly dark and wonderfully not glaringly bright in there. There’s even a cute little outside area that I would’ve gone for, if it hadn’t been 37 degrees. We were served promptly and the food came out quickly. The prices were very reasonable.
I really really really wanted to give this place 5 stars, but I can’t. The food just didn’t do it for me. For one, my breakfast was only warm when it came out, not hot like I expected. I got the López Benedict, which had bacon, grilled tomato and avocado, peeking out from under the hollandaise. I should have been wowwed by something so simple that it can’t be screwed up. Out of 2 poached eggs, one of them was overcooked, but not both. (?!) The hash browns were undercooked—like the center was still raw potato and it wasn’t crispy. I liked that they came presoaked in Tabasco, but they weren’t very hot. The server got us more hash browns right away (she was so sweet) and, this time, it was hot and cooked all the way through, but still not crispy. The avocado paste was brown, like it had been sitting out for a bit, but it wasn’t exactly green on the inside either. (See photo)
My husband got corn beef hash with thinly sliced corn beef bits rather than spatched chunks, which is different, and didn’t thrill his taste buds. (See photo) The dishes were well-plated and attractive, but not something we will come out for on their own merit.
I think that we may have hit the restaurant at a bad time because there were only 3 people working the entire place on a Saturday morning. There were already 3 tables occupied when we got there and 3 more groups came in within 30 minutes of us. The cook may not have been completely prepped; we did come right after it first opened. It wasn’t like he wasn’t paying attention because he was yakking with someone like in some of those more-attitude-than-service places. He was sweating over the stove and moving fast. A 4th person came in a couple of times, but left immediately like he ran out for something. Both my husband and I have worked on lines where they left you nothing from the night before, so you had to prep and cook at the same time when you got there. The poor cook was all by himself.
I’m willing to go back, possibly on a Wednesday “motorcycle” night (husband would like that) when they may be better staffed. We have friends in Georgetown that seems to go there often. I was thrilled by the whisky in the back bar. Maybe I should’ve had a drink with breakfast, but I wanted to give the food a sober review. I liked the ambiance, but the comfort food they advertised was just not that comforting.
I got the pitboss sandwich. I ate the whole thing as my stomach screamed it was full I just couldn't keep it it of my mouth. My friends also got this and the French dip based on bartenders perfect recommendations. I'm looking forward to trying the dip as all of us left full, satisfied, and ready to return soon.
No separate parking lot but was able to find street parking. Service was friendly but slow. Minimal staff on hand early on a Friday. Food was good though, everyone enjoyed there sandwiches and soup. Prices are reasonable. Happy hour info posted in the pictures
Good service. Good selection of sandwiches. Nothing fancy but all tasted great!
Place is cool, with the motorbike stuff all over. Food is good, service is fast. I come here on Sat and Sun brunch.
Yeah, it's expensive. But where else are you gonna get a flavorful, hand made quality sandwich in south seattle? Don't knock it till you try it. You can spare a few bucks (+tip!) to try out the rage.
Just wish they had pinball.
Located in Georgetown's up an coming Seattle restaurant and bar scene, this place serves in my opinion some of the best sandwiches in the city!
My favorite is called "The Troublemaker." A sandwich roll with lettuce, tomato, grilled onion and troublemaker sauce, a little bit of a spice kick to it, grilled chicken with melted Monterey Jack cheese and add a little bacon to boot! Add a side of the housemade potato salad and you are set!
A full service bar, a great staff taking care of you and outside seating when the weather allows, makes this a great spot to enjoy good food and drink!
Happy hour offers good specials and weekend brunch!
This is a sister restaurant of Hudson, also located in Georgetown.
