Tanakasan - Seattle - Photo album

This was a neat little spot that my wife and I did not even know existed, though we are not usually in that area of town. We walked in not knowing exactly what it was, not even knowing it was a Tom Douglas restaurant until after the fact. We saw the menu on the board in front of the door and it look
Great bubble waffles for weekend brunch! The congee is a little bland, but the karaage and bento sets are worth trying.
Ten thumbs up. Everything was prepared and presented so delightfully, loved it. Making this my new favorite dinner spot. I'm a huge kimchee and crispy rice fan, and let me just finish off by saying ... this is the best I've had! Their Bento is fabulous too.
The place is nice, the barman a sales man, the cocktail small but tasty, the dumplings homemade and simply awesome and finally the experience was just great. Highly recommended!
Service was very friendly from beginning to end. I got a nice drink (GreenMan, could be a bit more generous lol). Also, I got the Dumpling Party ($21) combo. It was super yummy and totally worth it! The environment is really cool. 20% gratuity added automatically to the bill. I would totally come ba
I had a great experience at Tanakasan. The potstickers were delicious and the coconut beef is one of the best things I have ever tasted. I will be coming back next time I am in Seattle.
Great, fun atmosphere at this restaurant. We just went to happoy hour for an hour or two, I believe it's 3 to 6 pm, and quite a fun aray of Asian food. We had the general tsao's spare ribs, super saucy and a little bit of sweet and sour flavor. We had the fries which were really unique. Definitely f
We sat at the counter watching the chef cook our food. Saw lots of other dishes to try next time.
TanakaSan was such a gorgeous place. I was here for a group event and the staff were so wonderful and friendly and just went out of their way on several occasions. I really loved the variety of appies they had and the sliders were incredible.
David our waiter was awesome, the caramelized coconut beef is awesome
They have a daily special "dumpling flight" which changes all the time. Their flavors tend toward the experimental, and they even try out different wrappers - the last time we went, one of the dumplings on the flight used a puff pastry type of wrapper. It may not have succeeded all the way, but I mu
I went there for a birthday dinner. The service was wonderful and our server was nice and helpful in recommending dishes to us. Food can be shared family style if you want. Desserts were good too, coconut cream pie and flourless chocolate cake. It wasn't too crowded either, although it does pick up
I came in tonight for a happy hour with co-workers. We ordered several appetizers, dumplings, edamame, chicken wings, tofu, etc. It was really, really good. The wings had a quick burst of heat, but they were not obnoxious at all. They were super crispy and juicy. The edamame was wonderful. There wer
We came in around 7:30pm Thursday night and there was no waiting. Our server quickly took care of us and brought the food out in a timely manner. Cocktails were great and food was amazing! It was our first time dining here and will definitely be back again! Price wise... Well, two cocktails, a large
Very tasty food and somewhat different than what I'd expected.
Dumplings were terrible, we couldn't even eat them. However, their fried chicken wings and general tso ribs were amazing! Super crispy and flavorful sauce on top with a good spicy kick.
