I love restaurants like this. The food is straightforward, delicious, and cooked with love. We savored every dish, especially the ashak. The owner was there on a Sunday evening and was lovely to chat with. What an accomplishment to be open for 31 years—he deserves his success. I’ll be back, and next time I’ll bring my daughter.

The food was AMAZING!!! I had never had Afghan cuisine before, and my roommate and I live pretty far from this location but I am so excited to come back! Everything from appetizer to dessert was phenomenal. Usually I'm unable to finish my meals, but I cleared the plate of my very generous serving and had to resist the urge to lick the sauce off of the dish. The absolute highlight was the Firni. I could eat it everyday! The family that runs this restaurant is so kind and really cares for the local community and their customers. I highly recommend this restaurant.

One of the best meals I’ve had all year. My boyfriend and I got the combo kebab plate, which came with smaller portions of a few of the other entrees and a dessert. Everything was really good. I especially enjoyed the kebabs (chicken and lamb) and the eggplant. We will be spreading the word about this place!

Arrived around closing time and the place wasn’t busy. The hosts and the atmosphere were very welcoming. Ordered Murgh kabab with a side of Badenjan Borani (eggplant) and Bolani (turnovers filled with potatoes). The food was on the milder side but extremely tasty. Highly recommended if one wants to try this cuisine.

Came in at 5:30 for a dinner with friends. My friends are vegan, while I am not. The server was extremely friendly and helpful, pointing out the dishes that could be made vegan and which ones would not adapt well. The food was lovely and flavourful. I had two pots of the cardamom black tea. I have not had much exposure to Afghani cuisine but I was very impressed by what I had. We shared the Qorma-i Sabzi, Qorma-i Takari, and the Fish Qorma.

Amazing food in a very cozy and warm place. The owner, Walid, is very friendly and makes sure you're taken care of. Dishes are varied and bursting with flavor but also not heavy. Excellent house made chilli sauce to turn up the heat if needed. Great selection of wine and beer. Highly recommend. Make reservation on weekends as it does get busy. Great vegetarian and vegan choices.

Fantastic! I've heard great things about Kabul and finally went last week: they are definitely worth the hype. Very delicious food with beautiful plating, the owner was fun to talk to, and the staff were lovely. A little costly, but the price is fair and matches the quality. I'm vegetarian and the dishes I got were delicious (the eggplant, the ash soup, the pasta, and the rice). Highly recommend any of them as well as the yogurt drink if you want to try something interesting. The desserts were also fantastic. Excellent mousse!

Happy to have some Afghan food nearby! The food is delicious but the portions are small and everything is overpriced. The food is also not prepared in the traditional style and may not be what you’re expecting if you’re Afghan :) (or if you’re familiar with Afghan food) but it’s still amazing. Service is fast and friendly. Will definitely be coming back but sparingly because of the prices.

The food and service are consistently good at this cozy and tastefully decorated restaurant. I have been visiting over the past few years and always leave satisfied. My vegetarian favorite is the Bandenjan Borani and my meat lover husband loves the lamb chops. We went with a couple friends and tried the combo for two. Everything tasted excellent.
