Been twice...phenomenal. Intimate. Fresh. Delicious. Inventive. No complaints. Think Le Pichet but gone upscale. We will return. Prix Fixe so fun. I do not get the lower reviews.

Eden Hill is a tiny, unassuming restaurant that seats 24 at the top of Queen Anne that has been receiving rave reviews for their avant garde dishes. The “Lick the Bowl” foie gras cake batter dessert caught my eye, so t0e and I decided to give it a try. As the restaurant is tiny, and t0e was running really late due to some horrendous traffic (1 hour to cross the 520 bridge – I’m sure Seattle folks can sympathize), the restaurant let us know that we had to be done by 7:30 for the next reservation on the table. We would have only had an hour and fifteen minutes to enjoy our meal and they would be unable to offer us the tasting menu as that needed the full two hours. They offered to move us to the bar where we could take our sweet time and make some hard decisions.

Welcome back to The Carnivore’s Dilemma, a column by Jason Price that features recommendations on how to prepare and where to eat meat from Seattle chefs that venture well beyond steak and burgers.  This month’s subject – Chef Maximillian Petty of Seattle’s Eden Hill restaurant located in the Queen Anne neighborhood.

The space is small, just a handful of tables and a bar.  The menu too is small, but boasts some pretty. amazing selections.  The plates are meant. to be shared, and feasibly could order every item on the menu especially if you. have a group of four or more.  We opted. for four plates, and this was a good amount for two people.  We felt satisfied, but not so full you could

Great wine mix. Small menu but food all beautifully done with balanced favors. Some very brave French preps. Lovely atmosphere and very good service. I'll be back!

So tastyyyyyy! I so appreciate how patient and understanding Tram was with my NUMEROUS reservation updates-the experience started off lovely before even stepping foot into the restaurant. We did the blind chef's tasting (dishes are not included the a la carte menu) and were delighted at all the flavors and creativity. This felt like a homey, no-frills dining experience that lets the food be the star. I'm sad to take off a star strictly for how FREEZING the inside was. Our table was right in front of the door, and without an additional wind protector (?) external door, a chilling draft swept in every time someone entered/exited the restaurant. To add to that, the kitchen/chef uses an outside door(?) so they were unable to turn up the heat. I ended up wearing my jacket, beanie, and scarf, so as delicious as the food was, it just wasn't comfortable. Would not return again, at least not in the winter :(

We took a chance on new restaurant for our anniversary dinner. Couldn’t be happier, a fantastic meal . The tasting menu was a lovely adventure, the accompanying wines were clever and well selected. Highly reccomend.

This place was overall pretty solid. Some hits and some misses. Wine pairing was really good compared to other places in Seattle at a better price point. We did the tasting menu and it felt overpriced for the quality of food. My comparison point however is similarly priced places in NYC. A majority of nicer places in Seattle seems to follow this pattern though, so maybe just the standard to expect here. I.e. one of the dishes we had came out with Everything But The Bagel seasoning. ???

It was our first time to Eden Hill and I just had the best experience ever! Chef David and Tram were wonderful and made our visit very memorable. I learned about Eden Hill from a class Chef David taught. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about what he taught us and I have been really excited to come here. We felt like VIP and appreciated how knowledgeable they were about the food they served. The dishes were delicious and I just can’t say enough about how awesome the experience has been. Each dish we had was unique, flavorful, had different textures, and full of umami explosions in our mouths. We finished every dish! It is so good and each is on small portion dishes except for the duck confit and black cod dishes. I didn’t think I had enough stomach space for desserts but wow, Tram got us amazing desserts and I had to try them. It was so delicious! So full of flavors and textures. The shrubs were really good too. Especially the cranberry shrub! We decided to sit outside next to each other and it was very cozy with music from across the street. I just loved our experience here. I am so happy and grateful my boyfriend took me here for dinner because we just had a memorable time. He has been hearing me talk about my fermentation class by Chef David for a while and see my experiments at home and he loved the food from the restaurant. I highly recommend Eden Hill.

Absolutely incredible! After years of experimentation and meticulous review, I have officially determined that Eden Hill is the best restaurant in Seattle. This was my third evening dining here in the last 2 months, and if I could afford it - I would come no less than 5 times a week. Every bite is unique and masterful. The menu rotates frequently and the staff makes the whole experience easy and memorable. The cocktails are A+ and no how full you are by the end the dessert is always worth it. Planning to be back again soon for the tasting menu! Overall: 10/10 *I would have better photos but we ate too quick.

Made a reservation a few hours before for the counter seating. I felt like I walked into a place of a magic happening in the kitchen. After having experienced a number of fine dining, It was a refreshing experience. Every dish was creative with exquisite taste. During the dinner, we had the chef coming and talked to us. It really reminded me of a restaurant I used to go frequently in London. I highly recommend !

One of my favorite restaurant in Seattle. Pretty small restaurant with a very nice atmosphere. Food is always good, culinary technique is on point as well as creativity. Cocktail list is pretty small but it covers all the main spirits. Never eat something disappointing in here and they change the menu quite often. Tasting menu is probably the worst menu choice you can make, it is a blind tasting menu and the whole table has to eat the same plates, that is not you want to do in a restaurant with so many good dishes like Eden Hill. Order different plates and share them, you will ended up tasting a lot more different foods and paying significantly less!! Highly recommended

It was one of the most elegant restaurants we dined at in Seattle - a selection of thoughtfully designed tasting menu items, plus a good beverage program. Service was top notch. My favourite was the veal tartare. Definitely a must have.

We went to Eden Hill for a birthday dinner and were pleasantly surprised to find a new gem in Seattle. The Chef is very creative and the service is impeccable! We were in a cocktail mood so did not try the wine pairing, but did do the food tasting experience! It was mind-blowing. Each course was so delicious & perfectly balanced. We kept saying each course was our favorite until the next one arrived! We are definitely doing to wine pairing next time because they sound like they would pair beautifully. But honestly, the regular menu looks amazing so we probably need to return multiple times to try it all! Cannot wait to see the menu evolve throughout the seasons! Also, we ordered Thanksgiving dinner from Eden Hill and it was delicious and so easy to reheat from home!!!

Everything about the dining experience exceeded our expectations. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with friendly faces. The inside was clean and welcoming. Our server was phenomenal but everyone we interacted with was great. We decided on the chef tasting option which each beautifully plated course lived up to the last. I have attached a few of my favorite bites.. The selection of blind courses awakened the palate and hit on every tastebud. The wine pairings were perfect and the cocktails accentuated all of the senses. We walked away satisfied and talking about our next visit.

Great mystery pre fixe menu. Brought our own Margaux, also enjoyed some spirits with dessert. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Do dress warmly! Dined outside on 7/31/2023. Ordered a 2020 Viognier from WA, a 2018 Syrah/Grenache from OR. Lovely tasting menu again.

We had the perfect dining experience at Eden Hill! The service and hospitality made us feel very welcomed and they took care of us like family. The food was incredible. I truly think Eden Hill should be at the top of any top restaurant lists. Originally we planned to do the tasting menu however we opted to order from the a la carte menu simply because there were too many interesting items we wanted to try. The only thing that was disappointing was that we didn’t have enough room in our stomachs to eat more. Every single dish we ordered from the starters to the mains were excellent. I have already raved about Eden Hill to my chefs and coworkers at the restaurant I work at. If you are in Seattle, Eden Hill is completely worth the trip. I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised. Thank you. Can’t wait to come back 🙏🏼

Had an amazing experience here! Every dish had incredible flavor that is well balanced and unique. We ordered a la carte and got almost everything on the menu. Some of my favourites were the candied pork cheek, broccolini, bread & butter, and cauliflower. The only downside is the fish dish came out undercooked. The meat near the tail and head came out completely raw. Even though the chef told us it was safe to eat, it still felt weird when we knew it was supposed to be fully cooked.

We made a reservation a week in advance to celebrate a birthday. The waitress was very attentive, lovely and sweet. We all do tasting menu, one of us never done this before, she was blown away. The flavor is explosive for each dish, they also have substitution for dairy ( somehow I enjoy the substitution option better, the taste lighter and they give sorbet instead of ice cream for dessert.)

We had the chefs tasting menu and really loved the experience. Creative dishes that aren’t just reruns of the same dishes you see at nearly every high end restaurant. My favorite was the smoked fish in prosciutto broth with corn mousse and pickled hot peppers and toasted hazelnuts. Really spectacular combination of textures and wonderfully balanced flavors that played off each other. We ordered the house special cake w foie cake batter and it was such a divine interesting bite, definitely recommend. Loved that the chef came out to talk to us and the waitresses were knowledgeable and also willing to have fun banter.

This place is a creative Jem. Every dish was amazing from the bread with honey butter, beef tartar, halibut and pork shank somm style. We had the mudd pie and foie gras pound cake. Presentation was unique. We even got the chance to thank Chef Petty.

Decided to come here based on recommendations, and boy was it a treat! Decided to go with the 5 course blind food tasting and felt like the service and food were phenomenal. Every dish sang on my palette. The wagu and zucchini first course were the standouts! Our server emma was attentive and witty as well! The chef came out and was a delight and we could tell he was passionate about his work. 10/10 recommend.

Exceptional service we came to celebrate my boyfriends birthday and they went beyond it, making him feel celebrated. We did the five course meal, and each Coors hit the spot with presentation and taste.

Went here for a work dinner and was very impressed. From the food to the service to the plates dishes came on, Eden Hill offers unique and delicious options. My table had the tasting menu and each course was prepared meticulously. The buttermilk halibut was a standout dish and the melva cake in the dessert course is now an obsession of mine. Already hoping to return for a date night in the future.
