The shrimp egg rolls are out of this world good!!
This was one of the few places that is open early during a weekday, so we decided to try it. The sticky rice was surprising large in portion but most importantly, it is not oily and soggy like most places. The chicken Pao was also surprising good.
Wow. Fantastic and authentic foods. All varieties you could imagine just carted up to your table for selection. Yum yum Dim sum! Great atmosphere to get the Seattle international feel.
Another stop in the Seattle dim sum tour, Harbor City Barbecue has an excellent dim sum brunch offering on weekends. I WILL SAY, one of THE BEST steamed BBQ pork buns EVER! The pork is super juicy with a deep red sauce, a bit of sweetness as well! We came towards the end of lunch, so the cart selection was a bit limited. The bbq duck looked delicious, but we stuck to dim sum. Xia long bao's were great as well, and you can never go wrong with a deep fried football! Traditional bland decor of a Chinese dim sum place with A/C that is one degree too cold. For sure will be back for their Hum Baos' and the pork sticky rice!

I've been to most of the dim sum places in the ID and Harbor City wins. It's not fancy by any means but the dumplings are fresh and abundant as is the selection. Go early or be prepared to wait on line for 30-60 minutes on the weekends.
Cha Siu Bao: These are the steamed barbecue pork buns that actually are not that hard to find. In fact, other than spring rolls and pot stickers, they're probably the easiest dim sum item to find at non-dim sum Chinese eateries. The main difference? They're actually GOOD if you get them from a dim sum joint.
Oh everything was so good. I would have to say some of the best dim sum I have eaten since I been in the West Coast.
Want quick and delicious breakfast in Seattle? Harbor City is Will’s favourite dim sum restaurant in Seattle, usually super busy on weekends, we expected to wait for a while, but not Saturdays at 10AM! We were seated right away, and food was on our table within seconds, with the help of these old school push carts. On our table were the usual shrimp dumplings and sui mai. I particularly enjoyed the shrimp dumplings here a lot. There was a good mix of real shrimp and shrimp paste, and the seasoning was really tasty, and quite superior. For the more adventurous eaters out there, the beef tripe was good too. They were my second favourite after the shrimp dumplings. These deep fried taro curry balls were really well made. I know we have really good dim sum here in Vancouver, but this place was better than some of the places I’ve been. This was a popular spot for many, lots of people waiting by the time we left at around 11AM. Come earlier for faster service, it’s totally worth
Try to go for lunch...almost impossible...so very very busy, while the joint next door is empty.
Most delicious Dim Sum
Great food in a seedy joint. Superior shrimp dumplings, fried bean curd, and shrimp with walnuts. The absolute best egg plant stuffed with shrimp I have ever had - crisp egg plant skin stuffed with shrimp, covered in a black bean sauce, covered with flakes of fresh Ginger. The tendon - they don't say what from - was a gelatinous chewy raw-looking flavorless experiment. I almost ate the whole thing, but then I am an optimist.
Very tasty dim sum restaurant. Bustling atmosphere and all the delicious classics. The fried food was a little fishy tasting, but everything else was spot on. The chili oil was delicious and water and tea was brought to our table of 8 swiftly. Quick and easy ordering system on a QR code and the wait was not too long. (Make sure to arrive early.) Overall, would highly recommend.
Some of the best dim sum, roasted pork and tendons we’ve ever had. Very rich and deep flavors, perfectly prepared, and fast. Be warned that all of the dim sum is larger than what you’re used to.
Online ordering system with live updates; items were not available at the time we sat down but within minutes as we scroll through the menu, items became available to order. The sauce marinade for the chicken feet was good. The water spinach is a simple dish but it was very good here. The steamed rolls with Chinese donut was disappointing, the donut was over fried and super hard. Overall not a nice restaurant to get dim sum.
Ordered various dim sum, roast duck, plus beef flat noodles. Usually I'm not a fan of dim sum, but this place does it right. Quite flavorful and the variety of dishes were quite distinct. My kids loved the noodles. The duck was too salty and the skin wasn't crispy at all but everything else was good. Reasonable prices and absence of bad dishes
Everything about this place was amazing. The dim sum were delicious, the honey bbq pork melted in your mouth, the Mongolian beef was savory and sweet. All of the portions are huge and meant to be shared around the table, and the prices are very reasonable!
The focus here is all about dim sum and not about atmosphere or service. Simply put they have great dim at very reasonable prices. This is not the type of location you want to bring someone to impress them with anything other than the food. Parking can be difficult downtown but there is parking available under the bypasses located up the hill. Once you arrive you scan the menu and order on your phone. Food arrives shortly thereafter. Chairs and table are similar to what you'd find in a meeting room in a one-star Hotel.
Food was so tasty. Everything was cooked so well. And the portions are big even for the small size. The roast crispy pork was a little too fatty for my liking but it was very well seasoned. We ordered way too much food but were heading out to the airport so couldn’t take the food with us. Really wish we could. I really enjoyed the fried chive and shrimp bun/dumpling thing. Some things I wanted were sold out but that’s ok because we couldn’t finish everything already.
I visit this restaurent for more than 5 times. I like this place because they provide decent dimsum with reasonable price. Ingredients are full in each dimsum and are fresh. Thus I can't smell any untasteful odor in ingredients, it is great! It is my first time to order for delivery, it was cool and fast with proper package! Thanks!
Well, Seattle Chinatown has delivered again. This Harbor City Restaurant was a great place to stop in for lunch. At about 3pm, it was an open seating senerio.
I really enjoyed the opportunity to sit and chat with my company and not be rushed to turn the table. The food seems to resemble a few other establishments, but with its location I can see why. Still it was a delight to enjoy.
Food was fresh and tasty. Line went quick and your order online via a QR code, not like the traditional style where you mark the paper but the food came out quickly and without confusion.
