No visual presence on the street, so it's pretty shocking when you step into an absolutely perfect basement jazz bar. Drinks were good, food was nice, and the crowd was a fun mix of CH natives and staff from the neighboring hospitals. Great casual night out.

The venue is classic old school Seattle. You can feel the history of it and the photo collages on the walls of the back hallway are great. The wait staff are funny and attentive without being overbearing. First time having dinner and what we ordered was pretty good. I had the short ribs with gnocchi and my partner asked for a vegan version of the spaghetti with marinara. I want to try one of their specialties like the lasagna next time. That isn't gluten free, but I like the fact that they do offer a gluten free pasta for some of their dishes. We went to hear the jazz band. The house sound system was good, but the drummer had a separate amp and appeared to be playing a drum pad on his lap. It sounded like a car dragging full cans that hopped down the road. Very pingy and cringy. It seemed like he was a stand-in drummer who has to pawn his full kit. It was comical and entertaining but painful on the ears at times. Strange that nobody seemed to notice. We will go back for a different band next time.

Excellent food and service, but a bit too dark for my taste. What the offer is pretty standard Italian food, nothing unusual or adventurous. Under the old owners there was dish with tiny squid an octopi that was amazing.

Probably one of the best Italian restaurants I have been to in a long time. Live jazz, neighborhood vibes, and a local feel contribute to the warm atmosphere. The cocktails are excellent and the food is superb. The homemade pomodoro sauce makes any "red sauce" dish like the chicken parm here nothing short of spectacular. The orange zest in the canoli is different but complemented really well with their old fashioned. This place is a must! 🍝🥃

This place is the best!! Look no further for a dark romantic Italian restaurant. Looks so old school and charming. Great date spot. The food is fantastic, we got garlic bread, penne alla vodka and cavatappi bolognese, all had great flavor and huge portions. I also got two drinks, dealers choice, they were great, tailored to my liking. Our waiter was also wonderful, as the rest of the staff. Call ahead for reservations, they turned some away!

Great vibe, lots of leather, dark, red. Just what you want in a hideaway bar in Seattle. Great drinks and great live music. 100% gem.

Amazing experience!!! Entree was delicious and the cannoli dessert was perfect. However, the live jazz music was probably the best part of this restaurant. Ambiance was phenomenal

Delicious food, family feel ambiance. Great service. Live piano with all the conversations going on makes you feel like you’re having dinner with family. It’s a must if you’re in Seattle

Vito's is like a scene from a movie every time I go there. On this night, Ron Weinstein (piano), Jeff Johnson (bass), Eric Eagle (drums), and Tim Kennedy (melodica), played tight, precise, yet fluid renditions of jazz standards. Tonight's patrons, fewer than usual, were quiet and reverential, listening and loving it. Nice menu. Dark and romantic. One almost expects a tuxedoed Bogart, Redford, or Deniro to enquire, "are you enjoying your evening?"
