Get there early or wait in line for breakfast. Fun place, good food, great staff. Worked for the entire family and we all like different things.

Delicious food. The biscuit that the breakfast sandwich came on was so incredible! Buttery and crumbly! Service was friendly and moderately quick. And our waitress pointed out to us that Monday through Friday they have cheap breakfast options with bloody Mary's of mimosas for only $4.50!!! I am new to the neighborhood and most certainly will be coming back!

This is a classic American diner to grab brunch or a late night meal. A nice cozy place to catch up with friends over an American menu.

The best thing about this place - one section of their menu changes every quarter. They've been in business for more than 20 years and every quarter they've had a unique menu based on different cities/locations. And the best part - they've not repeated a menu!

Try their Honey-glazed Chicken, Chicken & Waffles, and breakfast combo.

Very generous portions for all of 4 breakfast. Eggs Benedict, breakfast burrito and traditional. Yummy dense biscuits and mouth watering bacon. An easy walk in the Queen Anne area. Had to wait for 20 minutes on Sunday morning around 10:15.

The ham and cheese scramble was perfectly made. The eggs were fluffy. The local ham had the right amount of salt and very tender. The hash browns had a delicious seasoning on them. We ordered a strawberry coffee cake to go. It was a bit too dry on one end and a bit too wet on the other. The taste was good, but the baking needs work.

Everything is tasty. Hard to find a bad dish. Focus is diner/ comfort / Seattle style -- nice and predictable. One knock: Kitchen ventilation weak -- you go home with kitchen odors in your clothes. Still worth it. :)

I was recently there because I wanted a guaranteed good plate that wasn't in the demilitarized zone of downtown Seattle during tourist season. Their Cuban food menu was in use and I had a Cuban style breakfast that was first rate.  The only issue was that they could probably benefit from a local market in Havana or Miami for some unique flavors that are currently very close but not perfect. Not an issue but a request would be to have more of their specialty menu items available for lunch or breakfast.

Good spot, good neighborhood, etc. I'll be back.

It was such delicious and fresh food. And the service was great! It took a little longer than expected to get the food, but when it was set down in front of us, it was all worth it! I would most definitely go again!

Excellent service and food makes this place a restaurant to return for breakfast. I had the cinnamon swirl French toast with side of bacon. Amazing especially with their homemade caramel sauce. It's like eating dessert for a meal. My wife had the scramble with hash brown (really good) and biscuit and gravy. An excellent meal.

Favorite Breakfast Spot. Heading into the 5 Spot is like visiting a surprise party - a new themed menu is there every time I go! Visiting the menu is always a pleasurable experience. My (our) group always chooses different items and then will hold forks over the table exchanging best bites. It's a win-win for everyone every time. Current favorite is the Red Flannel Hash. The beets put the "red" in the red flannel, and it's fantastic.

I still maintain that Seattle doesn’t do breakfast very well. Breakfast places here that have consistently long lines – Portage Bay, Macrina Bakery and 5 Spot are at best second tier breakfast places in Melbourne. Or maybe I’m looking back with rose-coloured glasses? At any rate I’ve found breakfast/brunch in Seattle ranges from mediocre to good. I think 5 Spot is good but nothing mindblowing – though it’s so cheap I’d definitely go back to try something else.

They have a good variety of options including some less traditional breakfast choices, but it’s also very easy to find everything you’d expect to see on an American breakfast menu.

Nikki was amazing. Provided excellent service and seated us so promptly. Very attentive to us, never a second she was not checking on us seeing if we needed more water, coffee and to see if we were enjoying our food. I love the ambiance of the place, music was so cute playing and I love how they have people spread out unlike some places I feel like they cram people together and you can basically hear another’s conversation clearly when trying to enjoy your food. Thank you so much Nikki for making our anniversary breakfast experience so wonderful! Such a great start to the day.

There was no wait for a table of 4 during lunch hours on a Saturday. The service was extremely friendly and the food came out quick. TLDR: I loved the sides of spicy red jacket potatoes and sourdough toast the most. I'm excited to come back again and would definitely recommend to my friends! Here is everything I tried: California Benedict ($19) - English muffin topped with avocado, bacon, sliced tomato, spinach, hollandaise sauce, and fresh herbs. Served with hashbrowns or spicy red jacket potatoes AND toast. The potatoes were well seasoned and not too mushy or crispy. The sourdough toast was surprisingly good with the salted butter. Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs ($19) - Chicken fried steak with country sausage gravy. Served with two eggs, hashbrowns or spicy red jacket potatoes, AND biscuits or toast. Breakfast Burrito ($16) - Three eggs, spicy red jacket potatoes, bell peppers, onions, pepper jack cheese, your choice of bacon, ham, sausage, veggie sausage, chorizo. Topped with salsa verde and sour cream. Generous portion. Doesn't come with any sides sadly. Huevos Rancheros ($16) - Two corn tortillas loaded with black bean chili beef, two sunny side eggs, and spicy red jacket potatoes. Topped with salsa verde and sour cream, cheddar, and pepper jack cheese. This is for those that love saucey foods. Doesn't come with any sides sadly. French Toast ($14) - Got this to-go and it came out hot and quick! It was topped with strawberries + blueberries and came with a side of syrup. Generous portion for the price.

What a lovely breakfast experience! I can't say enough nice things about not only the quality of the service, but how delicious every dish turned out to be! I very much appreciated how accommodating my waiter Delmer was, and he makes me excited to hold this Spot as a strong recommendation for others in the future!

I have been coming to the 5 Spot for decades, and it was always my favorite brunch in Seattle. So I was very sad when it closed. And even after it re-opened under new ownership, the food was severely disappointing. The menu was similar to the old place, but it was just lacking in something. However, I’m happy to say I gave it another try and I had a totally different experience. The food was much closer to what I remember, especially the crispy hash brown and spicy bloodies. If you have been staying away because you had a bad experience after it re-opened, give it another try. If you are lucky you will get Nikki as your server. She is the best for sure!

A great corner spot that we tried for the first time. Super cute neighborhood eatery with a full bar and great coffee and food.

Seated within 5 to 10 minutes on a Sunday. It was really busy still, but the service was great. Some things weren't in stock anymore like the vegan milkshakes which is unfortunate. Got the benedict and regular strawberry milkshake. The eggs were poached well, but I wish it came with more sauce. The slab of potato was delicious and crispy, good with ketchup or hot sauce. The milkshake was light, but refreshing and worth getting.

Nikki was an amazing human being that is gracious and very kind, we were seated in a place that was comfortable, food was amazing the red potatoes 🥔 on point. Serving size was perfect not too much and not too little. Will for sure come back.

5 spot café was surprisingly really good. Staff was super friendly and attentive. Unfortunately they forgot to bring me part of my order (French fries for breakfast 😭)and gave me a pancake instead of waffles, which we still ate but make sure you are very clear about your order. Food quality was really good! Presentation was good as well, better than other breakfast places in Seattle, surprisingly. Their potatoes, both the jack red potatoes and the hash browns were really good, they had a mix of bell peppers and onions sautéed in which was a nice addition. The place does have an old smell to it but you kind of forget about it when you are there and the food makes you forget about it too! The napkins were super nice too! Not white and generic like other places. Bathrooms were pretty clean 4/5 cleanliness. I’d definitely come back! :)

Absolutely fantastic breakfast spot. As a family of seven, we were seated promptly and served well. The food is outstanding, with many options. Certainly a local necessity in Seattle. We went on a Sunday morning, and although they were busy, we had quick service and the best server.
