What a nice surprise, tried this place twice for breakfast and sampled their avocado toast and the breakfast sandwich. Not only is the presentation pretty stunning the food is very delicious. The place comes across as very low key but they chef speaks through his skills. Well done super yummy, great friendly staff.

TLDR: quality food for reasonable prices in the city center
Connected to the Kimpton hotel, the vibe is very classic with candlelight and nice tablecloths. I ordered the pasta with mussels and my girlfriend ordered the chicken Milanese. The pasta was a hit being perfectly al dente and having lots of flavor. The Milanese was good as well and not dry at all. Personally I was not a fan of the kale, it was crispy but still chewy so I’m not sure how that works and my mouth did not like the texture

Yes yes yes!! Come here! Eat here! Drink here!! From start to finish, this was such a great evening with family and my beautiful bride! Superb meal. Homemade pastas and breads and the like. I couldn’t have asked for a better evening.

Nice Italian Restaurant. We had our 1st month wedding anniversary here and they celebrated by giving us a complementary champagne. The food is really yummy and very comforting. There fresh foccia bread with fresh butter and olive oil is just yummy. We had the Orchiette, burrata (yummy and delicious made up of golden beets and orange), Chicken Risotto and they Chocolate cup de creme was simply amazing.
The staff is nice and friendly. If you are in for a nice Italian dinner with your family or special someone this place is definitely a place I would recommend.
Note:- This restaurant might be a little on the higher end but the food is worth it.

Small Italian restaurant with a non traditional menu. Very crammed inside but overall atmosphere was great. Ordered the chicken, server shared that it takes ~30 minutes to cook the chicken, so you know it’s fresh, but certainly nothing to write home about.

Ordered the bread, sweet potato gnocci, steak and a pasta. The pasta was mediocre. The sauce was tangy, basically crushed tomatoes but the sausage was flavourful and the pasta itself had a good texture. Steak was reasonably priced and well seasoned. The sourdough bread was better than the other, but nothing special could have skipped. The sweet potato gnocci was really good but felt a little heavy after a few, good for sharing.

Good dinner place. The food was good and service was fast. The only thing I felt on my chicken pasta is too much of lime (may be whole lime instead of juice that gives a bit of bitter taste). Wine collection was good.

Fresh halibut served over flavorful risotto with a tasty Arugula salad and THE BREAD BOARD! were worth the travel from Charleston, SC today! Barry at the bar made the suggestions and we thank him! Without a reservation on a busy night, we dined in the bar with him. Every bite and Barry were OH SO PLEASING!

Love the food and atmosphere. The service is oddly weird. The bartender seems to have an attitude like he doesn't get a damn about anything. Lots of dishes were tossed around so extremely loud noises in the surrounding.
Probably give them another try if we are craving pasta dishes. Overall very reasonable price and the food were delicious!
Updating my review, 11/19/2022, we gave this place a second try last night. The service was above and beyond this time. We had a wonderful time celebrating both of the boy's birthdays and enjoyed meeting the new director. The food and wine selections were savory. I m much more satisfied with everything during this second visit and absolutely would return and recommend this hidden gem. I also learned that they have a second floor that would accommodate approximately 35 people. It would be a perfect spot to throw a small party or gathering. I don't know what is the requirements to book the room so you probably want to reach out to them directly for details.

We have been coming here for years when we visit Seattle and it is always good solid northern Italian inspired food with a Northwest twist. The service is superb and the ambience is upscale casual and perfect for a night out. Well though out wine list and complementary drink meal. Good food and a comparatively good price.

Absolutely wonderful food! Our group got ahi (seared fish), ravioli and a sausage pasta dish and all were great. The pate appetizers were the best I've had. Excellent value for the money. Loved it!

VERY good food (two pastas, two salads & excellent drinks!) but the service is very special too. Our waiter Andy was so considerate of our after dinner time commitment. The hostess Miriam was really professional, tactful and charming. We were unavoidably late, but she held our place. 🙏🏽 She is a real asset to the restaurant. Thank you for a great experience - we’ll be back. ❤️

WOW….. What a meal. Mussels that are so good and the size of a small car, and a lamb shank that is second to none. Highly recommend this place.

Omg loved everything about this place! Loved the drinks and food! The lamb shank and affogatos were amazing, the service was great… the waiter and host was very pleasant and welcoming. I highly reccommend checking this place out!

Looking for a fancier spot for dinner for my birthday vacation. The manager got us in quick without a reso and was very accommodating. He continually improved our evening with great service detail and seating. Our server was very experienced and made us feel right at home and comfortable regardless that we were underdressed for this place. The food came out fast but not to fast and was perfectly cooked and better then I thought from when reading the menu. Beautiful atmosphere and will deff be coming back when staying in the downtown core. Thank you Tulio for an unforgettable experience.

All around this was an excellent spot that has been around for years. Elegant but not stuffy. Food was so good, an Italian based spot that had plenty of gluten free options which was nice. I walked away wondering why I don’t come here more… it was wonderful.

I came in for my first visit for a solo date night, and this place exceeded my expectations! The FOH manager at the door, Caitlin, she was very hospitable and gave me a lovely table in the bar area. My server, Dani, she was exceptional! Very attentive, knew every detail about dishes I asked about, and recommended great drinks! After dinner she recommended the Amaro Montenegro and it was exquisite. The staff here are very friendly and attentive, I will be coming back very soon.

Of course we had to eat in the bar since every table had been reserved st 5:00 pm.
The bartender who was very good talked me into adding Italian sausage to my meal. What a mistake her advice was, it was the hottest, spiciest, terrible tasting meat I have ever tasted. Coming from AZ we are accustom to spicy hot dishes but this was unbelievable. When she saw I was having trouble eating (about 10 minutes into the meal) she asked me if it was okay? By now my tastebuds we’re gone and there was no way I could have eaten something different. At this time I would have assumed they would have comp’ed the meal as it was uneatened, but nope, they changed us full price for an inedible meal.
Everyone has said the food was good which is why we went but OMG did someone mistakenly add spice and then add more.....
Sorry, this will be my last time I literally cry while eating dinner.

OMG!! Absolutely the best breakfast both I & my wife have ever had! Chef in kitchen makes everything from scratch with fresh ingredients. Your money is well spent & they do not skimp on the liqueur in their drinks. Food was delicious & service was prompt, attentive & always smiling & pleasant. The price was worth the food & the service along with the atmosphere. Highly recommend this place if you stay in Seattle.

Tulio was great!! I found this place through Trip Advisor and decided to try it with my husband for dinner last night because of the excellent reviews and the fact that they had gluten-free options. (Which can be difficult with Italian restaurants.) We were visiting from out of town, had just returned from an Alaskan cruise. It was a Sunday night and seemed fairly busy but they were able to seat us at a table in the bar area immediately. My husband got a glass of the Riesling wine and even I thought it was good! (Not generally a fan of Riesling.) We both got the gluten-free orecchiette pasta with spicy Italian sausage, marinara, and parmigiano reggiano cheese. Excellent!! It's rare to get GF pasta at a restaurant that is something other than penne or spaghetti. We finished off our meal with the vanilla mousse topped with pistachios and surrounded by fresh berries - fantastic!!! :) Our waiter was attentive and had a good sense of humor, but I don't remember his name. (Older man, grayish hair.) A bit on the pricey side, but you do get what you pay for. It was a superb meal! Definitely recommend Tulio. You'd probably want reservations on a Friday or Saturday night, since even on a Sunday night they seemed busy.

Had an amazing dinner tonight celebrating with my husband for our third wedding anniversary. Service provided by Juan was on point... professional, thoughtful & kind... and our food was amazing! I don’t think I’ll ever eat regular mashed potatoes again after having their whipped potatoes with ricotta in my pork dish. This was our first time here and we will definitely be back. Thank you for making our dining experience so special.

Ok, I have been here. I am Italian, born and raised, leaving in the US because my business. If I have to say this restaurant is authentic, I am saying: NO!, if I have to say: I eat bad? I will answer: average Italian American restaurant.
The Baccalà was presented over mustard. Where in Italy have you see that?? No where...
The agnolotti no that bad, I've ask butter and sage instead creamy chive.. they accomplish that. I appreciate it.
My wife "clams linguine" full of sands... I hate that under my teeth, I will not ask for this plate the second time...
Tiramisù dessert: Salty. Where in Italy have you see that?!No where.
If I have to rate this place, as Italian, I am saying, I am not sure. I will not recommend.
Only good thing, really they have a great wine selection, at a great price. I order a bottle of Brunello di Montalcino, was great, not overprice at all.
Roberto M. — at Tulio.

We had an amazing anniversary dinner here! Our server, Nate, was excellent and attentive; he never made us feel rushed despite a packed dining room and even brought complimentary champagne with our dessert. We had the sweet potato gnocchi, pappardelle, lamb, and tiramisu for dessert and all were 10/10. Will be back for sure!

We had dinner at Tulio in Seattle on Sunday night. I've never had such an emotional feeling of connection to a plate of food in my life. This was probably the best Italian meal I've had yet, and with every bite I could almost taste the rich heritage that I get to call my own. I had the freshly made linguine pasta with local clams, preserved lemon, chili flakes, and garlic breadcrumbs. We also had the butternut squash gnocchi, and finished out with the tiramisu. Everything was executed with absolute perfection. My husband could attest to the fact that I was literally almost crying with joy over this meal. The Italian hands even came out at the table.

Kind of funny. Small print on the bottom of the menu, a 5% surcharge will be added to offset Seattle minimum wage laws. No portion of this surcharge will go to tips of or monies split between staff.
So this will be the last time I eat here. I understand raising your prices in order to do business and make a profit, but doing it in a disingenuous way by adding it to the small print i don't like. Besides that with what you charge you should not be paying minimum wage.

Went to dinner with a party of four. We ordered the Halibut special, the rib eye, the lamb and the pork shank. Everyone throughly enjoyed their meal and the service was excellent. I tried all four dishes and felt the pork was by far the best. A lovely spot for a nice evening out. We will be back.

Great services and amazing food. Nice, cozy, friendly environment. We fully suggest the duck, the pork shank and the rabbit ragu papaderlle. In was a great experience

Just moved to Seattle from New York and had been looking for good Italian food - so happy to have found this place! Really delicious, fresh, authentic food for a reasonable price.

I love Tulio's the service is great! I have dreams about the sweet potato gnocchi. If I only had one thing to eat for the rest of my life it may be this. My only complaint is the portion is not bigger. We also ordered the spicy orichettia and pork shank was good comfort food. The lamb was very good as well. Always try to eat here when in Seattle.

Chef Walter is one of the Great Chef's of Seattle. His food is Amazing! And he must be doing something right if his restaurant is celebrating 25 years in downtown Seattle

Great date night restaurant. Our server, Juan, was fabulous. There is nothing but good things to say about the food. My Agnolotti melted in my mouth so flavorful. My husbands, Orecchiette was outstanding and the Nutella Bar should not be missed, it's out of this world.
Upstairs dining is very intimate and very welcoming. Loved our experience.

Had a wonderful anniversary dinner with my husband yesterday. We had a wonderful waiter and delicious sweet potato gnocchi, agnotti, chicken, phenomenal duck and their Nutella bar for dessert.
John Jomehri
Great innovative menu. Properly managed. The manager was courteous and professional. The waitress memorized her order and there was no need for pen and paper. Best of all the bill was brought quickly so we wouldn’t have to be wondering where the bill is. As we often do.
Joe Grier
Absolutely one of the best meals I've ever experienced. Juan, our server, was superb - very knowledgeable and warm.
