My husband and I recently visited Oliver's Lounge for drinks. This downtown bar is located in the Mayflower Park Hotel by Westlake Center. They are celebrating 43 years of being in business. Although the hotel has been open since 1927.The lounge and hotel felt classy, upscale, and a little Old World to me. Oliver's Lounge was also Washington's first daylight bar. The floor to ceiling windows look out onto 4th Ave and the bar offers a quiet respite from downtown.

We stopped in Olivers for dinner. They were serving free appetizers while we were there. The apps were pretty greasy and we really couldn't tell what they were. Our server was very nice and took our order right away. We thought the beer menu was very limited. We got cheeseburgers and steak fries which were served within 15 minutes. The fries were delicious but the burgers were just ok. Our major concern was the air conditioning wasn't working and it was very warm. If we had been told that in the beginning, we wouldn't have stayed. Overall, Olivers to us was just ok.

Try Olvier's if you want a martini and a feeling of luxury! The service is fast but not overbearing. A glass of wine in the evening is a must after a busy day. They also serve dessert and can order from the restaurant if their limit menu doesn't meed your needs. I found myself eavesdropping on the most interesting conversation - sorry for listening but i couldn't help it!

Nice Watering Hole. If you want to sit for a drink and feel like you've taken a step back in time this is your place. Located in the Mayflower Hotel - the food isn't so great, but you can go to Andaluca nearby for that. At Oliver's you should try the stiff old-time drinks served in this vaulted ceiling room with walls that surely could talk.

Great place for a snack/drink. I love this place, both for it's old school ambience and perfect place for a discreet afternoon drink, as well as having just about the best tomato soup in the city. Very friendly staff, quality drinks, and tasty food.

Upscale:Downbeat. We stopped in to the lounge at the Mayflower (aka Oliver's) for lunch in preparation for a Xmas stroll through downtown and a visit to see the gingerbread houses at the Sheraton. The Mayflower Hotel is host to Andaluca, an excellent restaurant, and the food at Oliver's is from Andaluca's kitchen. There were lots of guests and everyone seemed to be enjoying the atmosphere, food and conversation. We fell right in step.
I started with the roasted pepper soup and followed it with broken eggs papas frietes. While the soup was good, the papas was outrageous. I'm not a big potato guy but the dish is mostly chorizo, with some grilled onion and fried/shreaded potato topped with a egg over easy. Wow--it just blew me away. My latte was passable. Our server, Jerri, did a great job and was attentive and present whenever you wished she would be: plus she has a good sense of humor. The whole affair had a holiday feel to it and was a wonderful, tasteful meal.

Excellent Vibe. High end without being pretentious or stuffy. Refined, yet relaxed upscale lounge atmosphere coupled with superior quality drinks, food, and service. Beautiful design and decor, but feel free to show up as you are. Staff was attentive and courteous, and you cannot beat the food and drinks selection. Definitely recommend the 330-6pm happy hour- great "bang for the buck"!

I absolutely loved the atmosphere in this bar. It has huge windows, you can sit inside, sip delicious cocktails and people watch if you are into that stuff like me. This bar's specialty is Martinis. Bartenders are so skilful they will prepare any drink in a minute. We also ordered food (burger). While it is not the best burger in town, it was quite tasty and I enjoyed it. I would totally come back here for cocktails and the ambience.

Wonderful atmosphere for enjoying a drink & appetizer before or after a show. Only gave 4 stars for food because the hummus plate was pretty weak. Would still highly recommend, they have amazing drinks!

This is a winner - not a lot of hotel bars would get a 5 star. From the hospitality to cocktail quality to food - this is an unexpected winner. When you order marinated olives and they are edible at gourmet level you know the place knows what they are doing. Bartender made the rounds asking people how they enjoyed their drinks. So next time you are trotting around Seattle downtown, make this an easy pit stop to rest and refresh yourself.

One of the best cocktail bars left in this city. Love sitting at the bar and people watching out the huge windows. Incredibly gifted bartenders will make you just about any drink no matter how complex; they have the ingredients. Dirty martini with blue cheese olives- they have it, penicillin gotcha covered right down to the candied ginger, New Orleans style sazerac- done, old fashioned- you won't find any cherries or orange wedges- thank you.

Team work! That is what the Wolfpack saw tonight at this charming lounge. Stu our bartender made sure my beer was ice cold. He served up a refreshing vodka cocktail to My wife.Stu’s bar back Evan had his back in replenishing the bar stock! Both are joined by incredibly talented servers Samantha and Michelle. I learned that Michele even has a she wolf version of my wolf ring. We left elsewhere to watch college football but we were delighted to find that the team of Stu, Evan Samantha and Michele were still on their shift. Make no mistake, we stopped in for a night cap. And as Samantha and Michele both told me, it was time to howl at the Moon! Their teamwork resembles a tight nit Wolfpack!

Heidi, our server, was warm, gracious and considerate. The bar tender, Conner, served up Icey cold perfect martinis. People watching from the gorgeous windows, stunning! The food smelled and looked delicious, but we had other dinner plans, so didn’t eat. Seattle is really trying to win back a good rep. Walking to the Market felt safe enough due to a huge number of safety officers and massive clean up crews. The great weather also helped!
