This place has the best fish and chips and Boston style Clam chowder soup! We really enjoyed the inside atmosphere with the wood burning grill! They have a very nice bar that looks out on Seal Beach Main Street to watch people walking by. I recommend this place for a nice atmosphere scenery and excellent food!
Fantastic experience! Great service, and the food exceeded my expectations. I ordered the mixed seafood grill which comes with a little bit of everything. (fish, shrimp, clams, scallops, and a lobster tail) My husband ordered the halibut with citrus sauce and yukon gold mashed potatoes. We shared Walt's salad and a bowl of clam chowder. Our server recommended the refreshing gimlet and his favorite draft beers. Our restaurant experience alone is enough to make us want to move to Seal Beach.
Walt's Wharf is traditionally our "go-to" restaurant when we head to Seal Beach to celebrate an anniversary, a graduation, or just satisfy our desire for quality sea food! Today's meal consisted of Mixed Seafood Grill & Fish & Chips to share among the three of us for dinner. It was yet another terrific & memorable late lunch courtesy of Walt's!
Amazing fish and seafood on the beach. Cozy vibes inside and good service. The food is very fresh and tastes delicious. Definitely worth the price. Loved the artichoke and ahi tuna. Good gluten free options, not many vegetarian options. Must go to if you're in seal beach.
Went again recently and so good. Love sitting in the window, having bread and a cocktail, then ordering dinner. High quality fish and fresh food.
Had the fish and chips and they were definitely delicious! Chips were just right. I’m picky about tartar sauce and theirs was really good. Atmosphere is great with a beach and nautical theme! They keep you water and beverages filled and the staff was attentive and knowledgeable.
Legendary Clam Chowder and great home made Ceviche. Add good service and an excellent Margarita and you have a great place for lunch. We will be back for more
This was my second time to go to this Restaurant. Lunch, now dinner. Chef Johnny is fantastic! My friend is a Chef, and she said everything was perfect!! Even the iceberg lettuce in the Wedge salad was super crisp, which We split and had just the right amount each. The Brownie desert was awesome too. This restaurant has been around for 50 yrs and there is a reason.
One of the things that I cannot overestimate is how good the service was. I ordered a whiskey that the bartender did not know wasn't on the menu twice lol however they did compensate by giving me Their highest top shelf whiskey at a regular price it was a very nice gesture.
I got the oysters on a 1/2 shell, they were very fresh and very tasty.. The halibut was very good a very nice portion next time I return I am definitely going to have to get the blackened catfish
Honestly, there are no "wrong" choices to be had on their menu. Any plate here is delicious, and the service is second to none. Perfect place for anything from a nice occasion to a casual afternoon.
Just a great spot to eat with family, service was great and friendly. I had Pasta Pescatore, it was excellent, with 3 types of fish and a marinara flavor with hint of lobster. Unfortunately, this restaurant is an hour away, so I can't get here enough, but definitely worth the drive.
Nicely decorated inside for Christmas and gave it a nice ambiance. We got the sirloin, shrimp, and fish and chips and they were tasty.

I had never been and was looking for the best seafood in seal Beach and I called Walt's, the manager totally took care of me arranging for parking, flowers and my choice of the two best seats in the house. All the same day.
I had oysters and an amazing beer called The Walrus. My date had the crab pasta special which was delicious.
As a bonus the gentleman out front playing music who I guess is they're all the time, what's happening lots of fun with us. Placing little squeeze animals right at our window to make us laugh.
I will for sure go back.
