We were looking for a quick dinner before our concert at Jones Beach and ended up at El Coyote Loco, a Mexican restaurant located in a strip shopping center. We walked into a large restaurant decorated with bright colors and some decorations from Mexico. The overall appearance is slightly worn, but inviting. We informed our server we needed to be finished by a certain time, and the service was excellent. We started with a delicious pitcher of Margaritas(not too sweet) and guacamole we all enjoyed. Two of us shared the shrimp fajitas. The shrimp were plump, juicy, and tender. The veggies had a nice flavor and were enjoyable. We were both happy with our order. There was also beef tacos on the table that were typical and good. We had a second pitcher of Margaritas during our meal, and our check came at the time we needed.
I've been coming here for years and the food is great. Pretty typical American-Mexican. It's not the most authentic cuisine but it's really tasty, fresh and well prepared. Despite one other reviewers experience, in the 50+ times I've eaten here, I've always gotten excellent service. Also to comment on the margarita claim. They do not use store bought stuff, they pre mix it at the start of the shift to keep up with demand. They only mix it to order for a top shelf margarita. It is definitely fresh made though as I've watched them countless times squeezing limes, measuring tequila and such and then mixing it in a gallon container. Sure it'd be better to have a full time bartender, but for a place this small it just doesn't make sense. Either way the margaritas are excellent and are one of the reasons I keep coming back.
This Mexican restaurant is great and have been there several times. The food is consistently delicious. Parking can be a hassle but it is still worth the waiting for a spot to open up. They also have BOGO Margaritas a couple of nights in the week.
Fantastic Mexican food in a very relaxed environment. Great food, fantastic service, and you can't go wrong with a pitcher of margaritas if that's your thing. Definitely worth the trip!

Had a great time there celebrating a friend's birthday. The food and drinks were delicious! We were a party of 9 and everyone was happy with their food. Will definitely return.
Been going here for years and it's by far my favorite causal Mexican restaurant around. Food is excellent, staff is great, and the prices are reasonable. Even moving a few towns over, I still venture back to eat here.
Food was delicious. Went with my in-laws who are picky and even they enjoyed their food. My fajitas were great and you should definitely try the fried ice cream for dessert.
This is one of those restaurants that you wish were a franchise it has very appealing atmosphere, choices of scrumptious dishes and will leave a memory to savor in a positive light! Great for even dates and family gatherings, small business affair and party gatherings!
Great Mexican Food! Atmosphere is festive and the staff is friendly and attentive. Wife says they make excellent Margaritas!
