Trax Bar + Kitchen

I must say that this one was of the best dining experiences I've had in a while. We attempted to go for lunch at Carmen's (also at the station) but they had just stopped serving. Although I used to go to Trax a few years ago I had seen some negative reviews online, and the last time I had gone there it was really going downhill. I was completely against having lunch there again. As we were about to leave the new manager (J.R.) came over and struck up a conversation telling us that it is now under new management. He pointed out how things had changed and the various events coming up. He said that we really should give Trax a try. If it hadn't been for his supremely pleasant demeanor and gentle insistence, we would have walked out. He even walked us back and said "Get ready to be WOWED". He was not kidding. The menu selection is wonderful. I suppose you could call it standard pub fare on steroids. It was truly marvelous. The chips and fries are out of this world! Everything was cooked to perfection and the staff couldn't have been nicer. There are a few really good eateries in Scranton and this is certainly a place that will join the ranks at the top of my list.

I highly recommend that you avoid this spot if you’re looking for boneless wings or food for that matter. The atmosphere and decor are less than desirable and the food is not good. My girlfriend and I ordered boneless wings for takeout and when we got home we were met with fried breading with no trace of chicken and possibly burnt fries. This is our second poor experience and the boneless “chicken” wings the second time inspired this review.
