My wife and I met our son and daughter-in-law there the other night. I'm not a big sushi connoisseur but the others are and said it was the best sushi they've had. I actually loved it too! The atmosphere is unbelievable. They have a great patio once it cools down but inside was fantastic!

Tried for the first time with some friends this past weekend! Loved the atmosphere of the place. It’s very chill and laidback feeling. The food was amazing! I want to try some other rolls because they all looked so good. I couldn’t pass up the Spicy Tuna roll though! The tuna was fantastic and you must get some of the fresh wasabi!
I’ll definitely be back to try some new rolls soon!

This place is one of the best sushi places in the area. I always leave satisfied and in a great mood. Not to mention the prices are an amazing deal not only for the quality but also the area. It’s a great vibe inside and i’m convinced it’s not always crazy busy only because it’s not visible from the street. I’ve been multiple times and it’s always a go to for me! 10/10 recommend!

We got the Tonkatsu Ramen and the spring rolls. Both were fresh and the ramen broth was not too salty. We'll definitely be back.

It's awesome. Notably for the price. CHECK THE HAPPY HOUR- It has the flavor and atmosphere of a San Diego County neighborhood sushi bar from the 80s. No pretense, no drama. It's not the High End fancy $40 a slice sushi, but it's not supposed to be. It's a sushi bar.
Okay, nitpicky details on the happy hour specials.
Spring rolls should include 3, not 2. Just a bit light, there.
Seaweed salad is very appropriate for the price.
Miso soup is great. Exactly what you expect and need when drinking $7 sake bombs. (You should be here right now)
Speaking of sake bomb, that's $7 for a 20 Oz Sapporo and a couple shots worth of sake.
Why are you not here RIGHT NOW?
The rolls are $6 rolls. Don't expect more than that. It's a step up from deli sushi, and exactly what you expect for happy hour bar apps at a 1980s neighborhood sushi bar. Did I say bar? And 1990s prices?
No problem eating dinner here, it's affordable and centrally located. but if you want to relax and have a happy hour drink and a light meal.....
WHY ARE YOU NOT HERE?
Wasabi is okay. It's not bad, not super special. Very American. Neighborhood bar.
The ginger is a surprise. I've had worse at very expensive sushi restaurants.
Very nice.
If this isn't on your happy hour menu, you are missing the best of underground scottsdale

Not sure about the last few negative reviews... We came here last night for the first time and it was AMAZING. Its 2 doors down from AZ 88. It’s tastefully decorated and has big TVs which my hubby loved for college football. We had edamame and a seaweed salad to start, and ordered 3 rolls for dinner. Everything was beautifully presented, and the fish was so fresh! I got to dine at world renown Nobu in Aspen and this fish is on par with that experience. Our server was nice and on top of everything, the Chef helped us choose one roll and recommended we try his favorite roll (PHX roll see pic). It was so good. The owner even came to our table and greeted us. Everything was great. We will be back!

I was the only customer at that midday hour before the dinner crowd, so I got the royal treatment :). Chef was good and prompt and the waiter was excellent, he kept checking on m. It was a bit hard to find the entrance but it ended up being worth it. I'd go again if I'm in that area.

The udon tempura is amazing! Was our first time stopping here and will definitely be back for the amazing ramen. The crab rangoons were delicious as well.

This is a nice little out of the way sushi place. A little tricky to find, and often very quiet. The food has always been good, and the servers very friendly. The atmosphere is pretty nice.

Really cute atmosphere inside with crafted cherry blossoms on the ceilings. Very intimate, small cozy place. The server was very attentive, polite and kind. They accommodated dietary restrictions easily.

Just wow. I have been searching for an amazing sushi restaurant. Found it! Hard to find, but oh so worth it. Park in the parking garage and walk around to the east side of the building. Right in front of Scottsdale Performing Arts and SMOCA. Wow, just wow.

I'm not a raw food eater...so the waitress suggested I try the chicken bowl. It was DELICIOUS! I also had 2 Dirty Shirley cocktails. Fabulous wait staff, good food & drinks in a relaxing atmosphere.

This was my first time visiting this venue and it was pleasant. The food was good and so were the cocktails. The only thing I would that could be improved was the staff having a being more timely with their service. I visited with my girlfriend and we were the only guests in the venue and it took almost 15 minutes to order apps and some drinks. We would have likely bought more than we ordered but had to leave to tend to other things bc the service was quite slow.

Love this tiny sushi spot. Great tempura udon and gyoza lunch special. Yummy rolls and sashimi.
