I stayed at the Westin across the street and wanted to step out for a quick bite to eat. I stopped here at North Italia and was blown away on everything. The service was top notch. The food was excellent. The decor was perfect.
I just got 3 little appetizers which was the meatballs, calamari, and the beef carpaccio.
I would lick the plate clean on every single dish.
Food was delicious, we had the chicken pesto pasta and braised short rib pasta, with the chefs board to start. The chefs board was a great starter for 4 people, as split it is only 8 per person. The short rib was perfectly cooked, and the lemon pasta sauce complemented well. The chicken pesto had great taste with the perfect amount of spice. The servers were very nice, service did seem a bit unorganized however it was still well done. Overall, the atmosphere of the restaurant was calm, with good music volume to allow for socializing.
Visiting Scottsdale and wanted to have Italian food for lunch! Great selection. My husband and I chose to have pasta. The roasted salmon was delicious and I opted for vegetarian noodles which helped the meal taste healthier than usual! The tiramisu is more of mouse form as opposed to cake but still delicious!! We are coming back again this week. Update: more pictures of food we tried! All very delicious :) :)
Braised Short Rib Lamache: This dish was absolutely wonderful! The braised Short Rib is flavorful and tender. The pasta was cooked perfectly aldente, and the sauce was the perfect balance to tie it together.
Roasted Salmon: My husband enjoyed this dish. Of course, I tasted it. The salmon was fresh and perfectly cooked, not dry at all!
Roman Holiday: This drink, while it was great, was a bit strong for me. I asked to add a bit more pinapple juice, and it was perfect.
Veni Vidi Vici: This lemon infused whiskey drink was amazing. My husband isn't a drinker at all and loved it!
The hostess and waitress were so helpful and kind. Completely knowledgeable on all items of the menu, which I always appreciate. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and a must try if you're ever visiting Scottsdale.
The food was so yummy. I had the branzino with veggies and my husband ate a personal pizza. I also tried a tasty moscato that paired well with the fish.
We did a big group dinner of 12 people and our server was fantastic! The layout for the table was perfect! Our server was attentive and for a big group all our food arrived together at one time. Delicious drinks. I got the espresso martini and it was great. I ordered the meatballs and enjoyed the taste.
This is our second time going to North Italia for a date and we loved it both times. We like to try new places and discover new favorite restaurants. The food is delicious and you can tell they take pride in making it appealing also. The restaurant is clean and modern looking, the waiters are very nice and check on you to make sure you are doing OK. We will go back.
North is always our go-to Italian spot. Super consistent with quality and overall experience. We've recently become huge fans of their weekend brunch and wanted to highlight some of their best dishes.
We always do family style because we all want to try a little bit of everything! Also, a huge perk to this location is that it’s located at the beautiful Kierland Commons, and you can walk around before or after your meal!
Food was great. Server was very knowledgeable! She knew the menu very well! Every question I asked about ingredients that were in a dish, she knew exactly! I was very impressed! Nice atmosphere and not super expensive, especially given the location. I had the spicy rigatoni vodka and it was very good. Definitely had a kick, so stay away from that if you don't want a very spicy dish.
Went there for a birthday celebration. The appetizers were all tasty served around the table. I had the braised short rib and added the freshly made horseradish sauce. It was delicious. The dessert was all good but the buttermilk cake tasted better than the tiramisu. Who would have guessed! The service was excellent and as a first timer, I will be coming back. Give them a try during happy hour you won't be disappointed
